nahh bruv, i cant stand FL - it's too amateur sounding. Used it for about a year, then bought Reason and CubaseSX3 - totally worth it, the finished sound is more natural, excellent for beat-makers like me who compose tracks rather than sample melodies. I know FL has a good sampler, i just prefer composing using instruments like violins, cellos and pianos... So Reason was the way to go...
i know what u mean, i mess around with composing and stuff on garage band, its just theres no sampling so if i had to say whats wrong with fl studio its thats its complicated to learn and sound kits arent as good as other programs, i love garage band but its expensive to buy a whole new computer and i like sampleing, can u sample in this program Reason and CubaseSX#? i never heard of it and am lookin for something new cause im gettin sick and frustrated with fl7
Reason has a WAV sampler called NNXT, looks very complicated, but it isn't... and it has a more user-friendly Dr.REX sampler (which runs off REX2 files from a program called Recycle). Reason is popular because it mimics that of a hardware rack, and you can add new modules to it, such as mixers/samplers/FX/instruments. CubaseSX is a program made more for recording, it is similar to ProTools 7.# - you can google images of Reason4 for a better understanding! Hope this helped!
i have pro tools with an mbox2, i just dont like it. The non-HD forms of Pro Tools are proper digitalised. Very dull sound. Cubase sounds more alive for recording than PT. And Reason has a better range of instruments then PT... and i LOVE having it set up like a hardware rack because i can re-wire things and make my own set-up. I would only use Pro Tools if i had Pro Tools HD with an SSL outboard or something. Otherwise i'm loyal to Cubase and Reason lol.
Cubase SX3 - I use this to mix down all my composed projects... Reason is great for sequencing and composing, but CubaseSX is the best for adding FX like reverb and mixing the tracks down... Has a great finished sound. I prefer it to my Pro Tools setup, which most people would find rediculous...

How much does what cost? the beat or the software that i made it with? -
The beat = $200 for exclusive rights,
$150 for semi-exclusive rights.
The software = Reason4 - 499.00 USD (probably find it for cheaper elsewhere)
Cubase 4 - around $500+ ...
