They could have picked any other musicals but they chose The Wiz. You guys did a marvelous job. Our school is doing the Wiz this week and we have a mix of races performing. Dorothy/Tin Man are Caucasions, Lion/Scarecrow are African-Americans, The Wiz is Egyptian, Eviline (however you spell it) is Jewish, and Addaperle's German. Put that in your crayon box.

Being a black musician I will say this. Soul comes from the heart, not the mouth. This is a black adaptation not a "remake" of the Wizard of Oz. You know it's the year 2007 and we still got people making comments like this.
