The Heavy's Minigun overpowers the Scout's shotgun at close range and the Scout's pistol at medium to long range, and his high health pool makes him harder to ambush. Heavies that consistently die to Scouts are either really bad or keep getting caught with low HP.

Engineers are weak on their own, but Sentries absolutely destroy scouts and act as a huge area of denial to the scout.

Okay, Sandman is a pretty good counter for heavies, but at a fair tradeoff of -15 hp. You're easier to kill and gain no advantage if you cannot hit your target with the sandman. That aside, I laugh when Scouts think they can dodge my torrent of bullets.

@keno6307 As for the Engineer, I have *never* seen a scout single handedly circle-strafe and destroy a Sentry, unless said sentry was completely unattended. If the Sentry is in a wide area open area, it's open to pistol fire, but ideally Sentries should NOT be in open areas as they are vulnerable to all sorts of weaponry. This comes down to the competence of the engineer.
