@darkcape5 Explain to your Mom that if she buys you a $100 camera you can make nicer videos on YouTube that more people will want to watch. Then you might make enough money to move out. lol
I can see that there is not all that diferance fro a panasonicHS700 cost over athouand and entty levle dow the entry might requre more light and only one videio pick up but its al planed obsoananc
@IZONEnumberONE Because so many people have commented on the garden at the end of the video I have now placed a link to the garden's web site in the "more info" section of this video.
My Kodak playsport 1 is like a year old. but it looks great! I get 1080p videos! It was 150$ last year but this year it would be cheaper. You can also check out Kodak playsport 2.
Actually, I got a Creative Vado HD about a year before this for less than 100 bucks. I like it; plenty of internal memory, decent low-light performance, and 720p was enough for me at the time. I see cameras that are better for cheaper price, though, and am probably going to get a new one in the future (possibly a PlaySport ZX5; watched performance tests, liked it, and found a good bundle with a 4GB SD card)
What's a good budget camcorder that records well indoors with low light? I need to record some upcoming wedding receptions, and I'd like for them to look presentable. Thanks!
@actfray The camera I use most is a Canon HF20 or HF200 but they don't make them anymore. I would try the Canon VIXIA HF R20. Right now it is around $400.
@Gino8451 This video shows a camcorder made by Insignia which was sold by BestBuy a couple of years ago. It can be used for taking stills also. Today I would get the Kodak PlaySport (Zx5) for $109. I am unaware of any camcorder by Panasonic or Canon in this price range. Good luck in finding what you're looking for.
$100 is a big chunk of change for, say, a grad student who also teaches sex ed. I got my HD camera for $350, but I can only afford it because my job consists largely of cat-herding my parents as they get older. If I was out on my own, even $100 would be a little excessive for replacing my old Flip cam (which I bought on extreme closeout discount) -- I know this because the Canon Powershot I just bought made a huge dent in my budget, and I only paid $80.
Where I live the best internet connection will only just keep up with 240p videos, sometimes not even that! I find that if I watch on 360p, pause it and let it catch up the picture is good and clear, even on full screen. Maybe my eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be!
@wutang4life36 To minimize the upload time I first convert to .wmv because that format seems to give me the smallest file size for a given quality. The other thing I do is pay extra for faster Internet. My upload speed is nearly 5 Mb/s so I calculate it should have taken me 6 to 7 minutes to upload this video. Most people's upload speed is 5 times slower so it would have taken a half hour. If the format was .mp4 it would have been an hour. Check your speed at speedtest . net
You have a good point. I guess you're camera isn't that great. The HD isn't so swell either. You should go get a Sony Bloggie. They're actually a bit more expensive than $100 but it's still a good buy.
@wassup986 I have looked around a little and found the Kodak PlaySport. I watched some YouTube videos and its sound quality seems to be OK. As a bonus you can take it with you swimming. The biggest complaint is that you get .mov files and some people can't play them or edit them. I know they aren't perfect but I am happy with what you can get for only $100.
@WarmWeatherGuy I understand. I recently got a Kodak Zi6. I like the camera, but it seems clunky when you're carrying a chocolate-bar-type camera. And I hate how the framerate drops during the dim-light. I also don't like the .mov files. I don't like the manual focus and how it's very limited. I don't like how bad the video looks when you're viewing it from the camera itself. There are many things I don't like about it, but there's good things, too. The Bloggie fixes everything but the dim-light
Dude you are not a good advertisement for HD, I would like to see a lot less defintion when it comes to seeing you. You need to be toned down
