  • Tenor - Gary Sheppard

    Baritone - Parker Jonathan

    Lead - Tim Surrett

    Bass - Ray Reese

  • Would like to know who wrote this beautiful song! Thanks

  • I heard this on the radio about 2yrs. ago.Have been trying to locate a copy with no luck. My husband of 46 + years passed away suddenly last year & I have needed this song so much. Thanks for posting. Garry has the sweetest voice & this song fits him so well. It's the most beautiful song I've ever heard!

  • Gary Shepherd choose a difficult song to sing, but did it well. Beautiful.

  • Why did I get a thumbs down...I thought he messed the words up. No big deal.

  • God touches the heart when He gives someone a song to write. God touches the heart with the tenderness of His Holy Spirit when the same one is singing God's song. God IS all we'll ever need. Thank you Shep for allowing all that God has for you to shine in our world! God is reaching out to every heart!

  • @ministryexplosion I agree...........Gwen

  • Repeat....Garry didn't mess up the words. He almost cried, obviously thinking about something in his heart. This is a beautiful song and he sings it very pretty. Gwen Weaver

  • Garry obviously had a special memory as

he pauses that is very hard for him

  • Reports I've read over the last couple of days indicate Garry Sheppard has joined the Songfellows along with Harold Gilley, Bob Jones, Tony Peace, and Nick Bruno. That should be a good sounding group if those reports are true.

I'm going to the National Quartet Convention in Louisville in a couple of days. They're supposed to be singing in a showcase on Monday at 3:00 PM. I'm going to try my best to get there in time to hear them.

  • I thought he messed up the words

  • @jalhrl He started the first verse over again for whatever reason... Then restarted the song with the second verse. If you listen closely you will see that this is true. I'm sure the spirit or something emotional got him distracted.

  • @jalhrl No he didn't mess up. Sometimes and emotional thought will cause a singer to get choked up. He did fine.Gwen

  • This song really speaks to me and all I can say is Hallelujah to the Lamb. Don't see how anyone could sing it better. Thanks for this video

  • I really like the old sound they have on that piano

  • What vid are you talking about?

  • When your are still able to get choked during what is your "signature song" - then it truly is from the heart! WOW!

Gary has always blessed me every time I've heard him sing this song!

  • who was the lead singer in this video?

  • Gary Shepherd

  • I thought he was talking about "Big" Jim Hamill who's passed on now...

  • the actual lead singer was tim surrett

  • Tim is singing second tenor, but this is a first tenor lead

  • Comment removed

  • @drumaster24 the features singer is Gary as this is a tenor lead but the one singing the lead is Tim Surrett...then Big Jim

  • Garry is very good but when he was with The Kingsmen he used alot of false setto like shown in this video here but when he joined Perfect Heart he stopped all that.

  • I love the song; I like the group, but Gary Shepherd is by far one of my least favorite southern gospel tenor. I could think of many tenors better than he. Love the song and the group!

  • There are better tenors, but they all don't have the heart Garry puts in to the song!

  • I think Garry Shepherd is one of the BEST Tenor's ever in Southern Gospel Music ...

  • This is such a great blessing, where did you get this video?

  • Very nice. He isn't "Squeaky" on this one ;)

  • Beautiful!!!

  • some of the greatest lyrics ever, and a great job by garry...
