I also use ms paint and sony vegas pro to animate. This is how i usually do my process. I keep my characters and backgrounds seperate because with sony vegas you can use multiple video tracks or layers as i call them. Now when you do your characters you will want to use a green background color and use the chroma keyer to make the green background transparent.

then you have a video track with your background and another video track with your character. This way its easier to draw your characters animation frames without having to worry about messing up the background. Next use your track motion control to move and animate your character walking across the screen. Check out my cartoon The Waynelds EP6 to get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

Don't worry I'm not trying to put your method down, but sony vegas makes it easier to animate with over WMM and taking advantage of the unlimited video tracks will take things even further.

However for WMM, you cannot separate the background and characters, so if I'd SUDDENLY have my Vegas CRIPPLED and had to go back to LIMITED LAYERS, I'd go back to using red-lines. .... butyeahno

You rock at this! I always admired your work, but I have a question. Do you use a graphic tablet? I personally find it hard to draw with a mouse. Especially on MS Paint.

Yes, I use graphic tablet. I don't think I'd be making computer-drawings if I didn't... And I'm amazed by the guys who do.

But I have to disagree with Paint being 'especially hard', because Paint is the only program I'd ever draw with a mouse on.

Although I've never played Resident Evil, I just LOOOOOOVVE Kratos' expression when he's all: "I've Always been with Cruxis". The eyebrows and the hand are in the perfect place, and the outfit and sunglasses bring it out to its full potential. Lloyd looks awsomw too! X3

No, no! XDD Although that'd be hysterical... *should make a video of evil!tos*... But I just meant that the main charies... Like, I think based on what I've read that they might be working for the bad guy and not know it yet. You know? Like, they think they're good, but Lloyd knows they're bad so he's fighting them. ToS is infamous for it's thin line between good and evil.... it would make sense if both sides thought they were right. :)

I love your method. Doesn't involve Flash or anything, and as much as I love Photoshop the simplicity of MS Paint is just so convenient. xD
