  • Some cats like water, some don't.

  • You will burn inn hell, but who am i kidding, i dont care...

  • @LeinadNesterbegne Hopefully, I will see you there.

  • I LOL'D AT THE END. XD

  • 22 cats were given a bath.

  • wow! kitteh loves the bath! :-O

  • ending pose is the same as starting pose

  • Kitty cat must appreciate the baths on hot summer days. Cuteness!

  • i got 3 kittens 2 like it and 1 no

  • KITTY NOT AMUZED! lol

  • no matter how hard i get my cats to try and take a bath they flip out.

  • o___o heard your sapposed to use a sponge on the younger cats, because it feels like their mothers toungue or something.

  • Cute

  • What a nice cat! Mine would kill me for sure. Your kitty has chubby cheeks <3

  • I had a cat just like that, when I got him he was not weaned but he was old enough to try food, so we gave him wet food and he got that all over himself and we had to give him a bath and ever since HE LOVES baths

  • My cat knocked on the shower door the other day, I opened the door and he jumped in.

  • @varan619

    kk

  • Best cat bath video here: good example of respectful way to wash a cat.

  • What breed cat should i get? my dads letting me choose!

  • very calm. when we wash our cats they scratch and flip out! why don't cats like water? i guess they think it's a waist of time considering they can baith themselves. i dont know, i think cats are pretty smart.

  • @Weegeeroxmyworld5 Well, most cats originated from wild desert cats so hatred of water in probably just in their blood. I'm sure having wet fur is a pretty uncomfortable sensation too.

  • Our cat is nearly 15 years old now... Still enjoys her baths. I think part of the reason she is healthy and still playing with our new one year old cat is because she has adopted bathing as a way of life... So did humans for that matter.

  • You should not give cats baths, it messes up their natural cleaning process. Cats clean themselves and do not need to be bathed unless they fall in something that they can't or shouldn't lick out themselves.

  • @BrentonTherefore: says who? You? Obviously, the cat LIKES the bath. GET OVER YOURSELF!

  • @Siava101 rar!!!

  • @BrentonTherefore well you don't know my cats then. my favorite cat has flea problems (which now she dosn't), and her skin is completely ruined from past flea infections. her skin oil greeses her furr and she's very sensitive on her back. i think a bath would be fine for her. she's to fat to lick herself in hard to reach places, she can lick her chest her paws and her stomach. so stop being mr smart alec here because apperantly your NOT!

  • Some people who call something like this torture are nutty. Stop projecting your views onto other people. Cats, when living with humans, in exchange for food and love and protection, probably wouldn't mind a warm bath every now and then to clean their fur better than they ever could, in hard to reach places. If they had the cognitive capabilities, I'm sure they'd thank this lady for being such a caring caretaker.

  • I wish my cat was that behaved. I bathe him weekly with an allergy-reducing shampoo (darn us cat lover with allergies). He hardly likes it, but he usually just stands there complacently with a look on his face like "grr this sucks" and the second he gets out, he is out of there...hardly gives me a chance to dry him with a towel.

  • Now this is the best way to bathe a cat, in my experience. I actually dont have a little hose like that, but the faucet alone is not bad

  • I think it depends on:

    1) was the cat bathed as a kitten so its used to tolerating it.

    2) does the cat have a thick undercoat, cuz if so they don't like the feeling of it being soggy.

    3) were they ever scared by wrong water temperature, soap in the eyes, or a scary hairdrier? cats have good longterm memory.

  • @DumbDuck44 haha thats true cats have great memory, they could be 10 miles away from home and know exactly where to go. arn't they fasinating?

  • what a well behaved cat.

  • I wish my cat was that nice, she HATES a bath lol

  • This is awesome. I tried that with my cat, he hates it.

I looked it up, it is good to bathe your cat. Ummm that's why vets sell cat shampoo. Grooming kits. LOL!

To the person who says it's CRUEL... how do you know? Did a cat tell you?

  • Aww your kitty is so cute! ^-^ my cat likes baths too. she specially likes then wen its hot out and the water is cool. My bro's cat on the other hand not so much lol.

~Note~ Cats do need baths. specially cats that don't like to groom themselves. Don't tell me all cats groom themselves cuz my best friend's cat Reggie doesn't . His fur gets greasy and gross.

  • @DarkAngelYuuki plus would you want your cat to lick gease?

  • So cute

  • YEAH BATHING CATS. I love dropping my cat in water. Rust Sandwich.

  • thats one cute cat!

  • Thats cool. My cat trys to jump in the tup and then falls in and freaks out and jumps back out. He does that alot.

  • this is great.. she's enjoying it

  • CUte

  • omg!!!! my cats r never like this when we give them baths!!!!!

  • lol same here. we only tried to give my cat a bath once before she gouged a gigantic rip in my dad's hand :D

  • try giving an unhappy cat really warm water

  • she sooooo good!

  • my cat is Fred and he is terrified of water but he stands in his water bowl!!!

    Creepy weird cat

  • shes just thinking hey hes being nice to me and mabey i should let him bath me and you can see he loves you alot

  • That is amazing. Loving cat receives care from loving owner.

  • wow thats one calm kitty

  • wow shes a good cat she enjoys it probably until she meowed.

  • wow. im impressed :p

i just saw like 4 videos, the cats hated it and were crying. but the owners were laughing.

    it's adorable :D

  • he is actually enjoying that :D

    x

  • I wish my cat would stay calm when I wash him..

    any suggestion? :(

  • Calm calm kitty. :-)

  • She looks like my "Little Bitty" cat. Who ironically is no longer little or bitty.

  • nice; at some stage he clearly said "enough" :D

  • wow thats fantastic I hope my cat will be as good as this one!

Thank you for this being a calm and relaxing video to watch.

  • have you noticed a temperature that's better than others? I'm guessing cool but not too cold since you live in a tropic area. I'm allergic and would have to bathe my kitties if I got any, so I'm just curious

  • This is so nice, as oppose to all those who torture their cat with a bath it doesn't want.

  • i wish my kitty would be this calm!

  • >.> It's not cruel if they've gone out in the rain and come back covered in dirt and mud. Or if they are put into a cat carrier to go to the vet, and end up peeing all over themselves.

  • Reitheneko,

Of course there are exceptions. If you cat has been rolling in sh1t, then you need to wash it. That is however CLEARLY not what we are talking about here. These people wash their cat for NO REASON AT ALL.

  • You said that it's torturing your cats to bathe them, but does this cat look tortured? I mean seriously, you need to stop freaking out over it xD It's stupid. This person's cat LIKES this bath. Or at least doesn't mind it. And maybe she's doing this because the cat has a skin condition that requires a monthly treatment. Or for fleas? Did you consider that? You are so silly. Also, brushing and bathing long haired cats is good. Hairballs are uncomfortable for them, even if they're natural.

  • It's amazing how many people have got that missconception. It's very healthy to wash a cat every 2 months, and brushing them everyday, as you keep them from swallowing hair, and the possibility of hairballs (that can be deadly).

Not only that, but even although they can wash themselves, soap and water washes off much more than them licking.

  • DragonNighthowler,

Try some acid. That removes even more than soap and water!

YOU DO NOT NEED TO WASH A CAT!!! It's CRUEL!

It's NOT dangerous for a cat to swallow hair. How do you think cats survive in the wild?

They clean themselves, and that's the ONLY cleaning they need. It doesn't matter that you think that soap washes of more. No more is needed. It's only cruel to the cat and for no good reason AT ALL!

  • I don't have cats anymore.

Yes, it's bad for a cat to swallow hairballs. I would know, my at died of that.

No, it isn't cruel. Beating an animal with a belt, or a broom is cruel. Bathing a cat or a dog is as cruel as bathing a baby. They might not like it, but doesn't mean they don't need it.

Cats in the wild have a lifespan of a couple of years. Normally 18 months.

House cats live up to 16-20 years, some hav reached 32 years.

  • Why are people stupid enough to down vote my comment. It's not like it's spam or insulting. It's a statement about it not being needed to wash cats. It's the truth. I am sorry for all the cats out there, that their owners are so stupid, that they torture their cats by washing them, when that should not be done.

  • Nooooo, you're not insulting. You're just calling owners stupid for caring for their pets.

  • Amazing.A very tame and well behaved cat. You must live in a warm area;Cats don't seem to mind baths in tropical areas.

  • Yes indeed. This only happens once every three weeks when there's Sun Diego. She likes to hang out in on the deck or in the yard socking up sun. She usually gets a whole lot of treats, which she scarfs happily. I think her bath makes her hungry?

  • i lived in the tropics , however my cat wasn't very fond of a bath!

  • how could you not love this one?

  • why?

  • because, he just looks like its cold...lol

  • i agree ... submissive kitteh

  • wow - ur lucky to have such a well behaved kitty - mine would chill but try to escape at the least chance...

  • For this cat to do this - the cat needs to trust you, and it needs to be relaxed. This is just a pure example of an excellent cat owner! Now if only other people had the same attributes towards their cats..

  • totally~! first time I seen such a relaxed kitty taking a bath. great job!

  • continuing my last comment...because she isnt very trusting, we picked her up from a shelter because she was abused by some little kids of the previous owners

  • go to talking cats and dogs theres a cat having a bath saying i love you to its owner now thats trust and love seriously

  • Thank you for a great comment. Do check out her other videos with similar titles. It took a lot of patience and trust. She was 11 when she started taking baths.

  • lol, i just gave my cat her first bath today, she is aprox 6, i cant remember, she kept hopping out, dripping wet, looking like a little otter, but she took it pretty well however

  • Wow your cat is totally calm about that, if i bathed my cat in the kitchen sink he would rip me to shreds

  • Well yeah, there's no way a cat will do anything it doesn't want so she definitely looks happy

  • Such a well behaved baby! Show great ownership

  • This is such a good kitty !

  • wow your not forcing her/him in and he is enjoying it or maybe hes haateing it and just not showing it cuz he knows if he chills it will be over sooner

  • The latter is the case. Rogue learned that if she chills, it will be over sooner. She's a wise one at 13years old... Check out her latest video titled "cat bath watch ending pose one more time."

  • great cat, she loves the water

  • sorry I responded with the wrong video...Its the second one ok?...

  • aaaww!!! How cute!!!!

  • Thanks. Look at Rogue's new video titled

"cat bath - watch ending pose one more time"

  • she doesnt look like a rogue...good job!!

  • Wow shes so well behaved. I still have scars from the last time I gave my cat a bath

  • Great owner.

  • Great Job,your cat loves it!You are a great owner!

  • Aww. How adorible.

  • Cute little kitty.

  • I don't understand this at all. Cats clean themselves. We have an 11 year old and she is so clean it's amazing. She has never had one flea. She is immaculate. There is no need to wash a cat people.

  • Some cats are outdoors. You're naive if you honestly think that cats can NEVER contract flees. Just because your cat was fortunate enough not to come in contact with them doesn't mean the rule applies to everyone else.

  • If you never bathe your cat, you'll have a real problem if you ever NEED to. Also, many cats groom less as they get older, so baths can become necessary then. I've got a bath video posted with my beautiful Himalayan. It's a great way to have your cat looking their best and it can even be a good bonding experience if done well.

  • DANG! That ain't my cat. All you sick sado's out there would have been laughing at the bleeding ribbons of skin hanging off of what used to be my arms! The bathroom would be sopping wet, and my entire family would be fighting over the last box of band-aids! And that would just be from trying to set her down into the bath tub! Should we maybe put some cold water in the mix, also, next time? I don't know! LOL But seriously, my cat HATES baths. And remember, dogs have masters, cats have staff!

  • such a cutie! i miss my cats =(, but nice! im adding to my favs

  • How unhygenic, in a kitchen sink

  • Cat's are incredibly clean animals actually, plus the fact that anything nasty is going down the drain.

  • omg I wouldn't have a chance to get my cat even near the sink!

  • That is a riot! What a good sweet kitty!

  • What a good little kitty...I wish mine was like that :)

  • what a good boy:D

  • I am a lady cat. My name is "Rogue."

  • It's too bad that cat in the kitty spa vid wasn't that well behaved. Then all the peta nuts wouldn't have gotten so bleeding heart upset over it. But yeah, that cat looks like my dog when he is getting a bath, just resigns himself to the fact that its happening, and the less he fights, the sooner its done. Well done, cat. Well done.

  • aw what a good kitty. must have been a puppy in past life

  • my cat is almost 3 years old and never ever bathed yet. its just impossible to get her in the tub.

  • I wish my cats stay still like yours when I bath them

  • it's because he's using a sprayer. Most cats and dogs hate tubs full of water.

  • ah wat a good cute kitty.

  • Very well behaved kitty. How do ya do it? Mine very rarely got baths but just HATED it. Once I got her in she usually gave up though, except for the occasional leaps and bounds out of the tub.

  • Rogue is 12 years old. Started giving her a spray bath in the sink every 3 weeks about 2 years ago. She hated it at first and thrashed a lot. The key is not to have anyone around. Just you and the cat. That way she knows no one will help. Eventually she figures out that struggling is no use. Do keep the water warm and comfortable Every time after the baths, give her special treats after baths.

  • is it good to bath them that much becouse I only give my cats a bath about every 3-6 months?

  • 3-6months? Might as well not! She loves the baths. Luckily, we live in warm weather, so she dries fast and doesn't get cold.

  • You shouldn't EVER bathe your cat, unless it was out rolling in sh1t, or it just happen to like it, like the wonderful cat in this video.

  • My dog doesn't like to be washed. Nor my baby boy. Should I retrain myself from washing them, as they dislike baths?

Ah, I guess that as they are not cats, it doesn't matter if they "suffer" through baths.

    Please!

  • What a dumb dumb comment Dragonnigh...

Babies might not like it, but it's not torture for them, like it is with a cat, and BABIES NEED TO BE BATHED, CAT'S DON'T! That's a very important difference. Same thing with dogs. Dogs don't mind it as much as cats either, and they need it. Cat's don't!

How difficult can it be to understand that cat's simply do NOT need to be bathed. Therefore there is no reason to put them through the torture.

  • And how hard is it for you to understand it is healthy for cats, to be bathed, and not torture at all?

So if a dog is afraid of water, it isn't torture. But it is for cats?

And now you insult me, telling me my comments are dumb?

Well, guess what? You're not the owner of the truth.

Whether you like it or not, you're not going to change my opinion. My cat could be alive today had I just bathed him and brushed him more often, and not believed cats do well cleaning themselves.

  • and yes, it IS torture. You are traumatizing your cat for no reason.

  • And you keep insisting on that ridiculous idea.

Lets put an example. My dog, he hates being alone. He's afraid of it. But he NEEDS to stay alone from time to time, as adults like me need to work.

Is it torture? No, it's not. I'm not doing that to please myself upon the suffering of the animal. Nobody suffers more than me to hear him wail every time I close the door.

It's the same with cats. Most cats will get used, and even like water, if you accustom them since small.

  • Oh, and I'm not lowering myself to your level, and start insulting you, just because you don't find any way of convincing me.

I don't care if I convince you or not. As far as I'm concerned, all your cats can roll in mud and stink the house if you like it that way.

If I ever have cats again, I'm bathing them, and there is nothing you can do to avoid it, nor convincing me.

I'm not loosing a cat again because of something as preventable as a hairball.

  • You don't dare to insult my parents. I don't care whether you insult me (because honestly, whatever you say just slips past my skin). But you don't go insulting people who can't deffend themselves.

I backed it up. I told you my cat died of hairball, which one of the ways to avoid it was if I had bathed my cat. BTW, I grew up with cats, didn't have dogs until I was 14.

You want links? Go seek them yourself, there are plenty. You want more info? Go talk to a vet, good one that is.

  • Cats don't roll in mud Einstein!

I'll insult your parents if I want. Don't think you can tell me what I can and cannot say.

You are a fool if you believe your cat died from a hairball. Probably your mean parents told you that, to hide that one of them ran over your cat.

The odds of your cat ever having a problem with a hairball are astronomical.

And yes, you are torturing your dog, because you didn't train it properly so it can be left alone. Dogs are needy and dumb. Deal with it the properl

  • What makes you think that bathing a cat would avoid hairballs anyway? What is the first thing the cat does after getting a bath? It starts licking itself!!! It will clean itself just as much anyway, if not more, and will swallow the same amount of hair anyway. So your arguments are just lame.

Swallowing hair is a natural thing for a cat. Not something you need to avoid. It's in it's nature.

  • Yews, deffinitely you can say whatever you wish, which just proves you've got nothing to argue against me, and you're enraged because I don't go on my feet and kiss your ego boosted feet.

Well, hard truth, honey, you're not the know-it-all deity.

Seeing as you keep insulting me, I'm not loosing my time with something like you. Go learn some manners, and grow up. Asume you're not world's bellybutton.

  • haha, nothing to argue? I've given perfect reasoning to not bathe a cat, and you have given no reason to wash a cat, besides just because you think so and because your parents told you so.

You couldn't even answer to it, but just avoid the subject, probably because you now realized that washing a cat is dumb. You are doing it because of hairballs, which is a invalid reason, and I explained to you why. I shows how little you understand about cats when you think bathing it will prevent hairballs

  • and when you think hairballs are a problem for cats.

Luckily most people don't bathe their cats, and they don't die from hairballs. That should tell you something.

If you have a cat with very long hair, you need to brush them, not bathe them. That helps them keep their hair in order and take away most of the loose hair, AND THEY LOVE IT. I have yet to see a cat that didn't love being brushed. To them it feels like when their mother licked them as kittens.

  • I don't need to know-it-all to know this. It should be common knowledge, and the only thing that could enrage me, is when ignorant people chose to torture their cat with bathes, because they have some misconception about it.

  • Do yourself a favor and read up on how to deal with cats and their hairballs, instead of just assuming.

With most cats you will never see them having a hairball. If they do have problems with hairballs, it causes them to puke or to have bad digestion. This can be helped by feeding them proper food, meaning enough fiber and water. A bit of hair is not normally a problem for a cat.

If the cat does have problems with it, the absolute best way to help it, IS BRUSHING IT.

  • More reasons:

Cleaning dirt the cat couldn't, and just shouldn't swallow.

Feral cats have a lifespan of 18 months, a couple of years.

Semi housed cats have a lifespan of 5 to 10 years the most.

House cats can live well up to 16-20 years.

And for more info, go up to Kenneth Sheperd's article, which pretty much sums it up.

And sorry I can't express in proper english, but it was clearly stated my VET told me all this. Keep my parents out. I didn't make any allusion to yours, did I?

  • You VET is obviously a retard. Retards exists everywhere. Retards also have educations. And VETs can bet mean to animals.

We are not talking abuot if you cat rolled in shit here. of course that's a different matter and something unlikely to ever happen. Cat's don't do that, and they can easily handle the dirt they get on them.

Read up on it, instead of assuming or relying on what some retard vet told you when you were a kid (or your parents told you)

  • You've got such a big mouth. How are you trying to convince me of anything if you don't give me reasons, and you keep insulting me, my parents, and now my vet?

So you assume that, since I don't agree, I haven't read anything on the matter. I've exposed my reasons, where are yours?

    Oh yes... torture anyone?

Give me something more valid, and less fundamented on mythology, and some aberration of lexicon.

  • 1 - when you start talking about your parents, I didn't insult them in any kind of way. Mentioning that you learned it from you parents, is not insulting your parents, so stop being so lame about it.

2- YOU are the one wanting to wash your cat. YOU are the one who must supply reasons for doing so. The reason for NOT washing it is

a - there are no reason for washing it

    b - it's mean to the cat

you have yet to come with one single reason for bathing it. Then don't do it! Anyway.

  • You called them stupid, isn't that insulting? Mean, how about that?

    a. Why?

    b. Why?

I have come with like about 10 reasons. You're just too swallowed in your ego the size of a planet, and in your unfundamented superiority complex to see that.

I don't care if I convince you or not. I already told you, your insults slip past me, I laugh at them because it supports my idea that you've got nothing to argue back. Which keeps reinforcing me that I'm right.

  • Anyway, since you have clearly established that you are a liar (lying about your cat dying from hairballs, just to support your main reason for bathing it), anything you say now is really useless, since I have no reason to believe you.

  • Again, no arguments. You attack me with your substantial lack of knowledge. Maybe it's you who should read some more.

And again, I don't really care whether you believe me or not. Not like I'll suffer the rest of my life because someone I met on the internet keeps trying to get me on my nerves, in a futile attempt to convince me of not bathing my cat.

  • Then give me reasons, and stop repeating the same things you've been saying over and over, which is clearly false.

You are based on some knowledge that was common AGES ago, I'm the one keeping up with times, as cat owners are more and more involved with their animals.

You say I mistreat animals, when you don't have any idea of how they are treated. I don't know how your animals are treated, so, unlike you, I won't insult you giving an opinion based on my own frustration and rage.

  • European Burmese, saber colour. WOW, such a LONG HAIR.

  • Which were your reasons? Oh yes, TORTURE, TORTURE, TORTURE. You don't even know what torture means!

Bullfights are torture, rodeos are torture, bathing a cat is NOT torture, no matter how much you repeat it.

    MY reasons: (read them back)

Bathing a cat and brushing does prevent hairballs.

You rub off dead flesh, and hair the cat couldn't.

    Cleaning dirt your cat couldn't.

Keeping the fur free of parasites, mites, and bacteria, so these don't get into your cat's intestines.

  • Please reread my above posts. there's a couple that were posted are you posted this.

Bathing does NOT prevent hairballs. Most cats do not have problems with hairballs. For a cat to choke on a hairball is extremely unlikely. Proper food helps them pass the hair, instead of building up hairballs in their stomach. Bathe a cat and it will lick itself right away and swallow even more hair, so no it doesn't help against hairballs.

READ UP ON IT INSTEAD OF ASSUMING!

  • It does not need any bathing for parasites, mites, etc.

Proper food, maybe vitamins for cats and a flea color if needed keeps you cat healthy.

Everything you write is based on your completely wrong assumptions.

Read up on it. You have not yet come with a valid reason to wash your cat.

  • I gave more than enough reasons, and I've read a bunch. You just don't want to admit I've given good reasons, which makes this conversation (to call it something, as you have been insulting me without reason, which proves the kind of person you are), pointless.

I already told you, I don't care how much you insult me. I've read on the matter, I believe it is true, and I'll bath my cats, whether you like it or not.

  • My cat didn't choke, He got perithonithis. Yes, it helps. It's not the same licking a fur full of dead hair, than licking clean fur.

  • So basically you are just a liar? You clearly states twice that your cat died from a furball. Now you are saying that it didn't.

Peritonitis in cats are not caused by hair. A cat can catch that whether you wash it or not.

You are stuck in your old ways and too stubborn to read up on it, and your cat is the one paying the price. Maybe you read up on it 20 years ago. People learn new things. Read up on it again.

  • You have not yet given one valid reason to bathe a cat. You believing it, is not a good reason. Try to confirm your beliefs, instead of just assuming.

And read some new material. But why should I believe anything you write, when you have just admitted that you completely lied about what was in the beginning your main reason for bathing a cat?

  • Good, you passed from calling me a torturer, to calling me stupid (and my paresnt), to calling my vet a retarded, and now calling me a liar because of something which is COMMON REASON!

Hairball stuck on stomach, as cats tend to hide the pain we didn't realize he had developed a huge infecction (perithonitis, that's what it is, you know?), and were not able to do anything to save him.

Wow, your knowledge is astounding. Go read some new material, then come back to me.

  • Cat got a hairball stuck on his stomach, which caused him a perithonitis.

    Again, your knowledge.

Again, you insult me. You're just going the way to convince me. Keep it up, I'm enjoying this so much.

  • 1. Oh, the vet of you!

    2. It was fed the best food, and water.

    3. We were on a trip. Cat was at grandpa's place, and we came back as fast as we could (loosing the trip's money), when grandpa told us cat was sick.

    4. Go check the article.

    5. I'm not the one based on religious faith, I have placed some of my resources. Where are yours? Oh, there aren't because it's just something YOU believe is right, just because YOU say so, which keeps reinforcing my idea that I'M right!

  • i LOVE this, its like he cries cause he wants it to be over but hes a good cat who doest go insane and kill after, love how you wring him out after like a towel lmao

  • wait i thought that cats HATE water..well not this one...
