@goldenst14, usc didn't pay any of their players. Bush (nor anyone else for that matter) did not go to USC because he was paid. He was paid by sports agents who had no connection to the school and wanted him to sign with them when he went pro. He didn't even start getting paid until December of his sophomore year. That said, I still respect OSU as a great historical program, despite the violations. This was a great game and I'm glad we came out on top, but OSU put up one heck of a fight.

@goldenst14 first of all, i am not a usc fan. second of all, there is a thing called compliance that all members of the coaching staff and players are supposed to abide by. if they do not, that goes against ncaa rules and regulations. when you break the rules to win games (pryor and those involved in the rings for tats or whatever it was called), you are cheating. tressel covering up was a serious issue. players selling/trading memorabilia is against ncaa rules.
@goldenst14 tressel worked out a deal with the ncaa that those five or so players involved would return to school and serve a five game suspension in order for them to play in their bowl game last season. now pryor has cut tail and run, tressel fired. where theres smoke, theres fire. just like @ usc, oregon, unc, and all of the other programs that have been brought into question.

Hey im a USC fan and I respect Ohio St. as easily a top 10 football School of all time possibly top 5. Of Course USC is higher than them and because im a fan of SC i will say the best but im not going to say Ohio St sucks. We played them hard when we played at their house and barely won.

@goldenst14 first of all, i am not a usc fan. second of all, there is a thing called compliance that all members of the coaching staff and players are supposed to abide by. if they do not, that goes against ncaa rules and regulations. when you break the rules to win games (pryor and those involved in the rings for tats or whatever it was called), you are cheating. tressel covering up was a serious issue. players selling/trading memorabilia is against ncaa rules.

@goldenst14 tressel worked out a deal with the ncaa that those five or so players involved would return to school and serve a five game suspension in order for them to play in their bowl game last season. now pryor has cut tail and run, tressel fired. where theres smoke, theres fire. just like @ usc, oregon, unc, and all of the other programs that have been brought into question.

Ohio state got talent the fair way and got some great players that made mistakes and werent loyal to our program and i presonally know jim tressel he has been a close friend of my family and he is a great christian man, he was protecting the players because they made a mistake atleast he wasnt directly paying them like carrol

@goldenst14 i like tressel too. fine coach. class act. nonetheless, violations of ncaa rules=cheating, regardless of good intentions or bad. i dont want to get into some big argument with you about who did what and who didnt. however, ncaa rules violations constitutes cheating. i wont argue that usc hasnt cheated because they have. usc and osu are both very prestigious programs though. im sure neither of them have trouble recruiting to their programs w/o paying players (bush being an exception).

@CubanCampo I'd take losing to a better than their record 5-7 Purdue team that almost beat Oregon over struggling to beat a Duke team that was beat by FCS Richmond like a redheaded stepchild. Also, you lost to a North Carolina team that was beaten by Virginia, the worst I-A team around anymore (they were made into roadkill by William and Mary). These guys do the same thing when the Bucks go up against Akron or Youngstown State, it's bad press to blow off your town's college team, especially now that he's playing for the Dolphins. Your best hope is that Ohio State plays ultraconservative (how OSU lost to USC), but after that Purdue loss, I wouldn't bet on it, especially since that Rose Bowl win.

To my knowledge no one is coming out, but if anyone wants to it's whatev. Most of us on here are pretty cool human beings, unlike some of the Penn State fans that throw bags of piss at the OSU marching band, or full cans of beer at their own fraternity brother (albeit from OSU).
