The quality of the football from Newcastle at this time was sublime. It may be a while before it gets this good again ,as platini and co. at .U.E.F.A. have brought out

new measures to equalise things. No more open cheque books, Abramovoich and co. Which may turn out to be a good thing If It makes the premiership more compeditive. It would be refreshing to see any team other than Man U. Arsenal ,and Chelsea win the league

What a talented line up in the nineties the likes of Ginola, Gillespie, Beardsley, Lee etc. Even the defenders were great attacking players Albert, Beresford and Watson. The goal that Albert scored against Man u most strikers couldn't score. The style of football cost us a lot of games like the Liverpool 4-3 and Blackburn at the end of the 95/96 season. To take a team near the bottom of the old second division to nearly winning the premiership in 4 seasons is incredible.

@shanicles btw I made this video despite being a watford fan first. But I did it just because I loved Newcastle in the 1990s (and under Sir Bobby). I loved the flair and the entertainment - it got me into football. So although I now follow my local team I will always have a soft spot for Newcastle. And anyone who cant handle good entertaining football - their loss.
