@asborisov1 unemployment was under 3.5% in 1969, and nixon and cater's terrible policies spiked it up to 9% in the mid seventies. it declined toward the end of carter's term, and then spiked up in reagan's first 18 months. but reagan wasn't responsible for that, carter's inability to decrease inflation and unemployment created an inevitable recession. reagan took it like a man and like you said decreased unemployment to 5% when he left. he didn't contribute to the increase in the early 80s

Capitalism is NOT evil and is in fact the most effective and efficient way of living. Capitalism however does not always act perfectly because people are not perfect, including this one. I watched it with the sound off and, yes, it definitely looks like he's saying "speed it up." The only other possibility might be "speak up."
