I remember back in the early 80's, I heard a Child Abuse case in Akron Ohio, about a ladies, boyfriend beat her Son, to the point that he sustained injury and died. In Memory of Charlie Wright, 7 Years old from Akron Ohio.

Dear Mr. Jesus, came out around the same time. I heard that song and thought of Charlie and I cried. I got a chance to meet Charlie once, and I think of him, when ever this song plays or other Children, that have fell victim of Child Abuse.

The song is about a 6 year old girl named Lisa Steinberg. She was basically beaten to death by her father, Joel Steinberg. He was recently released from prison. It happened in New York City just about 20 years ago. Google it. It's a sad story. I remember it very vividly because I live in NYC.
