  • my bird of time glider in the summer stays up there until my battery runs flat and i have to put it into a dive just to get it down.3m wingspan and weighs only 4lbs.i fly over corn fields and there is lots of lift.keep your eyes open for soaring birds a good indication of where thermals may be :-) happy flying

  • wow! i'm really addicted to thermal now

  • jim, any epo glider can do this? pls advise? i have ask21 epo glider 2m wingspan

  • @harun78rcsoaring - Any glider can stay up with good weather.

  • @harun78rcsoaring - Your heavy f3f racer will stay up in thermals on the summer. The glider shown is f3f.

  • jim, where to place the hook on glider? few mm in front of centre of gravity? pls advise.tq

  • wow! i was amazed to know that u able to stay uplift for more than 1 hour. any downward flaps need to apply when entering the thermal area? 5% down?

  • @harun78rcsoaring - No flaps are needed in the summer.

  • well done. what is yr record to stay uplift without power?

  • @harun78rcsoaring - I never tried to set a record, but I stayed up an hour and a half and only landed due to being tired. This was rather easy.

  • Really nice tips and tricks, but next time try not to walk. It makes it harder to see what the plane is really doing. Still nice tips :)

  • right under this towering cumulus must be a monster thermal :D nice vid!

  • @hallobaaaby those cumulus clouds are the best!

  • Nice tips, but next time making a vid try to stay put.. The camera shakin' is really annoying
