There were many reasons for this couple not to be together, but GL went out of their way to help explain why they got together. The actors were also fantastic together. Then it was all screwed up because of sleazy Jeffrey.
GUIDING LIGHT had then and still has now arguably the best cast in daytime, so I don't think that MacDonald and Wright are "too good" to be on the show.

I agree. Laura Wright was magnificent as Cassie, it's a shame that GL wasn't able to keep her. NF has done a good job making the role her owns now, but Laura Wright will always be Cassie to me, even if she's in Port Charles.
It would have been cool if Richard and Cassie's baby son had survived.

Yes I hated it when they broke up Cassie and Edmund.

I miss these two together, their chemistry was amazing. Both very talented actors way to good to be on GL imo.

I rated this video a 5. That was pretty cool back in 2002 when my wife and I got to meet Laura Wright and David at the G.L fan club luncheon.
