The only damage was a broken hinge, but regardless it was scary watching you're new toy violently bounce off of every stair step.

My cousin (funkygranny9) has the same model DS with the same screen problem. However, instead of being a tye-dye pattern, it's a huge solid black chunk across the screen. It renders games unplayable.
