Hi! Yes, I know the Gamo Maxima sucks but the factory tells everyone this is a good hunting rifle. For a real hunting rifle, you need something like the Evanix AR6 gun (but be careful, that weapon likes heavy pelets only [EunJin] ).

@iamurdad77 .... I am happy that you love your gun. However not everybody has to like it. I bought it due to the Gamo marketing and I realized that I made a HUGE mistake and that gun did not perform as advertised (even though I invested 400$ into upgrading it - GRT3 trigger, GasRam, Custom scope mounts). I made a video to present all the facts about the rifle, not the Gamo bullshit (with hunting pigs, no recoil ... and so on).

@Forgottnemmy - Don't buy a Gamo rifle if you have a budget of 500$ or more. Buy a PCP rifle instead: FX Monsoon, AF Condor, AirArms S410 .. anything but GAMO !! If money is a problem, I recomend that you choose a Hatsan springer (also known as Walther).

And the Maxima was the most expensive/highest quality, so i probably need to order online and then my parents will most likely stab me since im underage they need to do it.

Hello Clemeyboy, My advice is to buy a PCP air-rifle instead of a spring rifle. If money are not the problem, consider buying a AirArms S410 or AirForce Condor or Fx Monsoon . Any of the above PCP rifles has more power and better accuracy than the Gamo Maxima. Bye !

Salut ! Iti recomand un Hatsan 150TH, calibrul 6.35mm .... este mai puternic si mai bine construit decat ce gasesti la Gamo la noi in tara (nu vorbesc de Hunter Extreme ...etc). Acest Hatsan are teava fixa (un mare avantaj ... pe care il gasesti numai la Gamo CFX) si are forta unui Wembley Patriot ... cea mai tare arma spring-piston din lume.

Hello N8mario ! I am glad you liked my video .... but in my opinion, choosing a Gamo rifle instead of a FX weapon is not a very good choice. FX are known to be very accurate and good rifles, but are expensive. The only thing with Gamo is that they are rather affordable. What kind of FX did you think of buying ? Now that you have a Gamo .... I suggest you buy a gas-ram and GRTIII trigger. The trigger is MUCH more predictible and the gas-ram will never lose power like the steel spring.

Salut ! Pai l-am vandut ca nu era rentabil sa trag cu ea pt. ca trebuia sa iau pelete direct din USA si costau 125 de bucati cat 3 cutii de 500 de bucati luate din EU. Alte pelete nu grupau bine si pusca le imprastia ca stropitoarea :-) . In al doilea rand, pierdea aer. In schimb era o arma precisa cu peletele care-i plac ei, si era puternica si arata bine.

Finally I got the gun :)

I also cancelled the Talon and got the new Benjamin Marauder, man this is a reaaaaaally nice gun I've been shooting like crazy since I got it and that thing don't let me miss a shot even at 80 yards away

I saw the FX already but they are very expensive here the semi autos are about $1600.00 USD my wife would kill me if I spend that amount on an air gun :) so far people I have spoken with are very happy with their evanix but all say that only the newer models are good the old AR6 is the one they told me to give problems. I haven't decided yet what rifle to get the evanix caught my eye because is a 10 shot repeater has a shrouded barrel and goes for about $ 660.00

The problem is that I live in the USA and here suppresors are illegal they have to be permanentely attach to the rifle to be legal and the only AF rifle that has it is the Talon SS, but because it has a 12 inch barrel is not as poweful as the condor any ways I am taking your advice on the Evanix, thanks for the advice :)

Go to youtube search ... type : 'FX Challenge' and go to the minute 5:25. They advertise this gun to be ULTRA-QUIET and it has a built-in moderator. Plus ... it is semi-auto. Bye !

Thanks for the offer man :), but I already have a .22 air rifle it's a Tech Force Contender 89 ... it's chinese but it's pretty accurate and also I am waiting for the new Evanix Blizzard S-10 that's coming out on April :). By the way I don't know where you live but the Condor it's really loud I can't use it here that's why I need the gun to have a shrouded barrel like the Evanix or many others

Hi E10004EVER ! I live in Romania. In my oppinion any Evanix air rifle is not the best choice and I learned this thing the hard way. I sold my Evanix AR6 last month. It was LEAKING air and after I discussed with other owners I found that Evanix rifles have poor engineering design and are escaping presure in may ways. And the AR-6 only liked heavy, expensive pelets (EunJin). On the other hand, I advise you to buy a Condor or Talon AC rifle + suppresor. They have the same accuracy and good power.

I have never used the rifle without a scope .... maybe fiber optic sights are usefull when shooting beer-cans ..... but I use the scope to hit a 1cm area at 30m .... I can't do without a powerfull scope. Leapers 6-24x50 AO IR.

Nu e asa de buna comparativ cu o pusca PCP de la BSA (ce se gaseste la noi prin magazine). Nu este la fel de precisa pt. ca reculul îi afecteaza precizia si mi-a stricat si o luneta. Daca ai vreo 2000 de RON ia-ti un PCP, chiar si la second-hand. Se merita ! Si mai conteaza si cu ce tragi. Daca iei pelete Gamo, tragi imprastiat :-). Eu imi aduc pelete JSB din USA ... care sunt foarte precise (o pusca buna trage cu ele gaura in gaura la 50-60m) ... eu trag cand am noroc intr-un cm de la 35m.

You are right ... but the Gamo rifles sold in Romania are underpowered (due to some speed limitations - 220m/s, not energy limitations like in other European countries). After I bought a gas-ram I had improved the rifle's performance.

Hello ! From what I know Gamo Whisper is a 1000fps rifle. If you found somewhere written that it would reach 1200 fps it is not true unless you use VERY light (unstable) pelets. Gamo stock scopes are not very good in my oppinion .. buy a Tasco or Leapers or Bushnell. For hunting I recommend a Evanix AR6 ... it is one of the best hunting rifles on the market !

Salut ! Eu trag cu Maxima la 35m si am grupaje de 2-3 cm ... dar iti trebuie si niste pelete bune. Teoretic poti trage cu ea pana la 100m dar iti trebuie niste pelete foarte grele (EunJin de 2 grame / Beeman Kodiak) pt. a minimaliza influenta vantului. Dar la acesta distanta nu vei avea deloc putere de lovire. Eu am tras cu pelete Gamo TS18 printr-o scandura de brad groasa de 2cm ... peletul a iesit prin ea ... de la 35m.

Dar peste 50m nu mai e de tras cu pusti cu arc.

boT6674: Daca reduci calibrul ... la 4.5mm vei castiga viteza.. dar pierzi precizie... In schimb, daca iei o pusca Hatsan de .25 (personal am ramas foarte placut surprins de puterea lor .. si iti recomand un Hatsan Mod 135 de calibrul .25) vei avea si putere dar si viteza (deoarece au pistonul mai mare decat pustile Gamo).

Pt. distante mari iti trebuie pusti PCP care dezvolta mult mai multa putere. Sunt PCP-uri care trag si la 150m. Cauta pe Youtube .. PCP 150m AC.

ms mult pt informatie! ma interesa sa imi iau o gamo shadow 1000 am citit review-uri despre ea si se pare ca e foarte buna si practica, eu intrebam de raza fiindca ma interesa ceva cu raza mare de actiune dar care sa nu depaseasca 10 mil la pret, asta fara luneta, iar de putere.. sincer nu trag in vietuitoare pt ca nu ma pasioneaza, m-am obisnuit la airsoft sa trag in oameni :) iar cu luneta norconia care o am acum as putea teoretic sa nimeresc ceva la 100 de metri
