@velcho1969 This is a movie, but in reality population control becomes an issue when theres too many. You either have deer season each year, or hit them on the roads. Which can kill people. So what sounds more reasonable?

I used to think of Bambi as the movie that killed off my favorite character. But the killed off character became my favorite by virtue of her being killed off. Might be a little martyr effect there.

Okay so me and my bro were watching bambi cuz we were babysitting and we realized that the people that shot Bambi's mother were poachers! considering that deer season is in the fall and his mom got shot somewhere between the middle or end of winter.

There are provisions for harvesting does, & the Disney team deliberately made Bambi seem more helpless than he normally would have been at that age to make man seem more evil. I thought I heard somewhere that there are late winter deer seasons in some jurisdictions. Bambi should have been more developed & independant than he was. Of coarse, Bambi's mother may have been pregnant w/ her next year's fawn that late in the winter. It's hard to tell when you can shoot a doe w/out endangering a fawn

@niflap Thats true. Bambi was born in the spring and his mother was shot at the begining of spring the next year. Bambi should have been a year old by then and all his spots gone. Its a very cute movie, but it doesn't fit the facts
