As much as I'm considering getting a 3DO, this has to be the bitchiest commercial I've ever seen. And not even just for a video game-related commercial, but any commercial altogether.

And the fact that all the "yo mama" taunts are all said in such a boring, deadpan way makes for an even bigger excuse to want to punch the guy and the PR at 3DO that decided this was a good idea to sell the console in the throat! >_<

The extremely low-res quality of the video here helps nothing neither!

I remember my friend had a 3do and the only good thing about it was the visual effect when you listened to a cd. A dark room, plenty of pot and beer, and the first Cradle Of Filth album was a great experience.

I traded my gameboy w/ 7 games for a fz-1 w/ 2 contollers & 3 games in 1994 & it works great to this day. I still buy games on ebay. It's fun to relive the good ol' days...Return Fire & Road Rash are the best games imo.

I have a 3DO, and it has some wonderful games on it. Most systems have at least something good to them. Even the Virtual Boy, 32X, Jaguar, and so on.

I actually still have a working 3DO. It had a lot of crap titles, but games like Immercenary, Road Rash and the original Need for Speed are still fun today.

I still own my 3DO... I bought mine directly from Panasonic warehouse. The bitch is brand new :^) Anyways, the games DO suck, but it's cool to break out every now and then.

Oops! Looks like my comments came out wrong. I was supposed to be replying to NIWatch44's comment from near the beginning. I used to own a 3DO (yes, my parents were rich!) and I had a great time playing on it. The graphics and sound were far better than my console at the time, a Super Nintendo. Road Rash was probably my favorite game but Street Fighter and Casper were also excellent. Return Fire is one of the best two-player games ever.

i had one and i think it was 50 times better than the ps1 as the graphics were better and the games were better as a good example was need for speed and street fighter 2 as on the ps1 they were very poor as the only reason the ps1 won was they had the backing as money wise and i thought the risc chip the 3do had was better than the cisc that the ps1 had so fuck sony as they are shit as the ps2 and ps3 are

I remember the US Import 3DO was about 1800 Mark ( thats 900 Euros or 1200 Dollars ) in Germany..

I´m so glad I didn`t buy that thing...

The 3DO is actually a very good machine at the time. When I finally got one, it came with about 9 free games. But the real reason why I got it was for Samurai Showdown and Street Fighter 2. Since both were almost arcade perfect, the $499 to $699 I paid was considered a bargain compared to the arcade unit. I still use the 3D0 samurai showdown as an arcade cabinet.

WTF? EA existed waaaay before 3DO, they were the guys behind it. The 3DO company became its own software thing after this system bombed and then they went out of business a few years ago.
