And yet she always seems to find her way up in to the top 10 and top 5 most races. I have found her to be careful in the beginning of a race while others either take themselves out or someone else. Once things shake out, she always moves forward. Take a look at her Indy 500 record, it is impressive.

I for one probably cannot drive an Indy car, but she is qualified and trained to do it? Noobs, most of you who are commenting. Sound is totally coming up too early on the video and also, you can't take onboard footage out of context and judge anything by it. There are a thousand factors affecting the pace, be it strategy, fuel load, tires, car setup, etc. What would you say about races where she was going better, that she suddenly learned how to drive? It rarely depends on the driver these days and although she's not great, she's not bad either.

(which should change due to new aero kits next year) oh and also Indy Car runs both road courses and ovals so it's more of a hybrid between NASCAR and F1. but a great series nonetheless!

@KHI29SMOKE14 Have you actually watched F1 this year? the new DRS (Drag Reduction System) has made F1 much more exciting! I do agree that F1 had become a bit stale the last couple of years, but the adjustable rearwing has opened up many of the races. Let's use the Hungarian GP as an example; the last few years we only had about 3-4 overtakings per race because of the layout of the track, but in 2011 we had more then 20! So overtakings and battles isn't an issue at all anymore...

@KHI29SMOKE14 You are so right, Indy isn't a cheap copy of F1, they are two entirely different diciplines and should be treated as such, demanding very different things from the drivers.

Even though im european and primarily watches F1 because it's much easier to find a TV station that shows F1, i enjoy the occasional Indy race because it's so different from the refined driving in F1.

I do that a lot, too. Instructors say either be on the throttle or the brake -- don't coast.
