But many Christian eschatologists have been proven correct over the years w/ regard to how world events would play out. Of course "mainstream" society excoriated them, but facts is facts. I'm not saying you must accept their theology or even their interpretation of or beilef in prophecy. But you can't argue w/ results. They have been watchful, observant, and vigilant, which may explain their impressive (but far from unbroken) string of successful predictions.

Right on. Speaking of the Bible, Dubai should've listened to the practical teachings of Jesus, who warned against building houses on sand, which is litterally what they did. They constructed islands made of sand and gravel and built massive (and massively expensive) projects on them. This was supposed to prosper and last?
