  • obersoldat, I wouldn't agree, It depends on a wedding couple and their family how big the wedding is going to be. Also, tradition is different in different parts of Croatia, it was in the past, and it is so now (I'm saying this as an ethnologist).

  • And here is a translation of chorus;

    ''I can still remember the words that my father used to say to me,son,don't go anywhere,yours is stone,olive and dragon tree(plant with thorns,common),let your food be bread crust,a drop of wine,a grain of salt.Let the stone be your cushion,but my son,love Croatia.''Its a song that says that money isn't everything,and that some things money can't buy.

  • This is a song called ''Kroacijo,iz duše te ljubim'' which translated means''Croatia,i love you from my soul''.Author is ''Klapa Intrade''.This is a very big custom at Croatian weddings.Not this song,but singing in general.Entire day must pass in singing.Only time we don't sing is half an hour in church.Weddings start around 10 a.m. and usually finish next day around 6 a.m.And usual number of guests is around 300-500,although some have 1000 guests.
