Dave Sharp is still as brilliant as ever! What a tremendous song writer he is. He sounds like a combination of Nick Drake and Bob Dylan, but better. As far as the Alarm go, they lost me just before Strength was released. Ya bring in a keyboard player and it all goes to hell. Punk should stay punk and never turn to the dark side of the record company's will. One man's opinion.
I`ll have to get my mam to bend Mike`s ear.She still lives in my home town of Rhyl and sees him about every now and again. The original line up was the best although the newer stuff is still great.I remember Mike when he was in The Toilets and we used to have a beer together in The Bistro on the prom in Rhyl.Sadly that`s gone now.
If you`re who I think you are get your ass back with Mike Peters and get rockin again.Drag that old sod Eddie out of retirement and give us a reason to buy good music again!!
You don't think Dave would join back with Mike Peters if he could? I think Dave would be the first guy on board with getting the original Alarm line-up back together. It's Mike Peters, and Eddie MacDonald to some extent, who feel that particular chapter in life is closed. Mike now tours with a new, but not quite as good, version of The Alarm. The original line up "shook the world" and rocked the house down wherever they played!
