In the first 25 seconds the camera is all over the place then just as you get a good shot of the locos you zoom quickly back to a wide angle where the train is a long way in the distance. After it passes you zoom quickly in then back out again and swing round. Much better to have cut out the first 10 seconds and zoomed SLOWLY back framing the locos. Have a look at videos from bwDVD and SteamAgePictures. Sorry but you asked for it!

this is my favorite of all your railfanning locations.
me and my dad call intersection junctions like that X tracks, and here in edmonton we have a several.
i STILL havent yet gotten footage from my locations tho, i dont realy go any more, gotta keep food on the table right.

The key to using a zoom professional is two-fold:
The first is don't use it.
The second is...if you do zoom...do so very slowly and with a steady speed.
