Grrrreat! I have the Chris Rainbow anthology album and it has some of his Capital jingles on it...also has Everett doing adverts for Chris Rainbow songs!

These were the days when Capital realy had it's MoJo and wasn'r playing Generic pap it does now! It always HAD a great mix of music and styles as well as funny great DJ's, i wished i had kept all my tapes as a teenager so i could hear those shows again. HEY HO,,,,

@replicantplanet - I agree the Capital Radio days of the 70's and 80's were great. Fab songs, Terific DJ's and music you could sing too! and of course classic jingles. What went wrong?

Hear hear! - glad someone else recalls just how great Capital used to be, and with quality jingles too. It put other stations to shame in its inaugural years I thought and was probably solely responsible for getting me hooked on radio ever since. So sad to see what it's become today; luckily we have DAB now to offer the tuneful stuff, like Colourful Radio and Jazz FM.
