BTW, understand about the cat. We have a domestic short-hair we adopted as a friend for my guide dog since he was raised w/his sire & another pup in training. Our cat actually thinks EVERYTHING is his! He doesn't know he's a cat & my guide dog, partially retired due to age but works for me b/c of joint probs & autoimmune issues, but they are buddies. Kitt (Short for KitKat) thinks he owns everything from our beds to the furniture to the computer. After he fell in the spa, he didn't want it again
As a mom of 2 daughters, I think you are very brave, compassionate, & caring to put these videos up so others will have an idea as to how the gear works, how to put it on, and such. I actually went to school w/a girl who had the old head-gear & while she hated it b/c it was bulky & large, she wore it faithfully & today, she is beautiful & she has some of the most beautiful teeth of anyone I know. As a mom, I just wanted to let you know I appreciate what you are doing. You're folks should B proud
don't be scared it's not that bad your teeth are going to hurt for a few days but then it'll go away it'll only hurt when you get them tightened untill your teeth are straight :)
You know what i really hate? the fact that its called HEAD GEAR i mean when i heard teh dentist say"shes getting headgear" it sounded scary so i was just freaking out, i swear, i almost cried right there in teh dentist room! but i am glad its just a night brace, but seriously, could they change the name? i thnk the name scares me more than the fact i am wearing one, or maybe its a tie, yea, i thnk its a tie!
HI, I have head gear too, in fact, i just got it today, when the dentist mentioned to his assistant that " shes needs headgear" i felt like crying, cuz i thought they meant like a 24 hour one, do you know when you would have to wear one like that? Becuase i am trying to avoid it, listen, my next appt. is in a month or so, maybe you have one closer, do me a favor, next time you go to the ortho. ask them in what case would you have to wear your headgear 24-hours a day.
