  • send in necron overlord and finish it

  • MY LOOOOOOOORD!!! Lol that acting is so bad it's great.

  • @BaronVonKenny The voice acting in this one is actually pretty great. You've clearly never played Soulstorm; now THAT'S some hilariously bad voice acting.

  • souless automatons......

  • No, the canonical nature of Pariahs (like Tomas Macabee, the chatty necron) is that they were originally human "blanks", humans born without souls who dampen psychic power around them and inherently creep other humans out. One of the main reason that Necrons raid and abduct human colonies is to gather more blanks, which are then turned into Pariahs. Normal humans cannot be turned into a Pariah, though it's been hinted that the Adeptus Mechanicus is tainted by the influence of the C'tan.

  • omg try attacking them as the imperial guard u will be raped

  • Why this level reduce the hp of the units? I played on normal and instead of 200% hp i was given about 150%. It's not so bad, but if it's do the same on hard level, the situation is a bit unfair. BTW what is this shuddering, paleing truth the pariah guy spoke of?

  • @xxlCortez The Necrons are quite literally the oldest remaining race in the galaxy right now, their existence pre-dates the creation of Chaos and its interaction with real space. It would be no surprise that they would hold dark and maddening secrets that no other race can comprehend without descending to some level of insanity. Basically the Pariah was revealed to some of their ancient knowledge and went mad with the revelation.

  • @xxlCortez The fact that the Necrons are the ultimate race and unlimited in numbers. At least, that is what you see when they kill you and invade your succumbing mind with their images of universal conquest.

  • hey what happens if 1 of the races puch you back or attack your stronghold? how is the cut sence or whatever??

  • @ArugalSwe there is none, it goes puts you right in it. You do start with a small base however

  • @iHateYouMostLikely aha okey :D

  • @ArugalSwe Yeah, hardly fair really that all the other races get these big badass bases and cutscenes while the player has to fight a normal, even terms fight... kinda sucks when you think about it.

  • @jasonromulus ye :P still dont think many get pucht back to there stronghold

  • Comment removed

  • Patriarch:so come poor victims of life we will grant you tranquility in these crypts

    YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THE RAPE

    MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • hmmm, I bet he'd be even cooler, if he'd just put his METAL GEARs on display.

    y'know, to look beefy.

  • how do you get a 3-1 ratio for a upgrade point

  • @xxxmikeyxxxx outnumber the enemy so it will be like 3 soldiers of yours facing 1 soldier of their...like 300 space marines battling 100 chaos marines,or vice versa...i think

  • 0:47 "Shi-"

  • Its easy to beat because they rely of energy but then its hard too because once they are dead they can be revive unlike the rest of the fractions.

  • ¿Where can I get the necron stronghold theme? Is not here in youtube.

  • The Necron stronghold assault isn't badass enough. What it needs is:

Summoning beacons scattered throughout the whole complex (indestructible)

Warping beacons that reduce morale and accuracy

    Smoking Pariahs

  • @jonanlsh ... If you think this is easy... then play SS! Thats just waiting! Nothing more! You can do more... but you don't need to do more. Here you really have something to do.

  • @Warhiji i HAVE played SS. Its TOO EASY!!!! *laughs* 4 Monoliths? Hell, all I need are a bunch of Stealthsuits (or cloaked D-Cannons) and I can blast those 4 motherf****** monoliths back to kingdom come!

  • oh dear

  • how? easy set up lots of defencive turrets abd block that 1 and only road to ur base will u go and build and capture points

  • The video should be renamed " How NOT to fall back and regroup" ;P

  • It's relatively easy to beat the mission with Eldar, without completing even a single secondary objective.

All you need to do is strategically teleport bonesingers and build webway gates. Sure, 2/3 of them will die, but sooner or later you'll find a safe spot.

Then, teleport away and do so again. I've even managed to bypass the Monoliths at the entrance to the main citadel this way. You can get Taldeer in and out in seconds.

  • i hated this stronghold....spent like 30-45 mins getting all the secondary objectivs done finally planted the bomb so i just ordered all my units to get the fuck out of there lol and of course my leader get targeted dies and i loose i dont plan on attacking necron again any time soon

  • His voice is so freakin awesome

  • At like 0:40 I was about to say "You guys are space marines! how dare you lose to one of our crappiest units!"

  • @googlemaster6380 thats a freakin 'scout' fighting a squad of nec warriors! wht u expect?

  • That's what I'm afraid of- If Chaos discovers the true power of the Fortresses and uses them not against the false Gods of the Necrons but against the Imperium (Which he HAS BTW) again, then the state of affairs in the Galaxy will go from emergency to catastrophe!

  • scout leader: fall back and regroup!

scout: i got a better idea!

    scout leader: what?

    scout: just fall back!

  • poor scouts..

2 monoliths, hundreds of necrons, flayed ones, parians and a necron lord..

the mission was just to "spy the enemy"

  • The Necrons are soulless machines that represent all that is truly horrific of the C'tan's plans for the Galaxy: Despair, silence, the void.

Quite fortunately, they can be defeated; their terrible armies are only just waking up after millions of years of sleep. This means that they can be destroyed before they awaken, and that (If the Blackstone fortresses are retaken) their false Gods can be wiped out, provided the ancient weapons are put to their original purpose.

  • @NicholasGeschke

Good luck with that, a Blackstone Fortress has been destroyed by the Necrons, and I believe the other two have been corrupted by Chaos, essentially nullifying any hope of destroying them.

  • @Fatman311 I know, the freaking Chaos forces have no idea what those ancient weapons are truly capable of, so unless they suddenly decide to put them to their original purpose we're in a universely precarious situation. Necrons are anathema to all Chaos stands for- Though if one side eliminates the other, it'll do so having become entirely more dangerous than before.

  • @NicholasGeschke

It's entirely possible Chaos, or more specifically, Abbadon, knows what the Blackstone Fortresses are and how to use them. The Chaos gods were born during the War in Heaven, and are capable of seeing in the past and future (or at least, Tzeentch is) whose to say they havent gifted Abbadon the knowledge to use them? It's worth thinking about.

  • necrons are actually the best race

  • @qwertclyde1092 Besides the C'tan particularly the Deciever are just so good at slaughtering their enemies without even having the Necron fire a shot.

  • So...I can assume that the Pariahs see the 41st Millenium as so horrid and intolerable that death is the only way to peace?

  • Necrons are completely and utterly horrifying.

"So come, poor victims of life. We will grant you... tranquility in these crypts."

  • There SHOULD be a part, in the next games, where you visit Necrons mother planet. Now that would be badass! ;)

  • @13Cadavre13 sadly there is no knowledge of which planet the Necron homeworld is. For all we know it may have been destroyed in their first conflict with the Old One's back when they were still Necrontyr. If there is going to be another DOW2 expansion featuring Necrons, it will be a tomb world instead.

  • how the hell is the Nightbringer on Kronus

  • I believe that's supposed to be a manifestation of it.

  • @ CJL1194

an upgrade from the energy core, every so often the necron lord can transform into the essence of the nightbringer

  • The guy who does the dialog for the Necrons, sounds an awful lot like the guy who did the voice for Darth Sion

  • 0:40 "Let's not shoot them and see what happens." :P

Awesome video! I love the Pariah's dialogue.

  • Zombie...robot...skeletons. It's like a threesome of awesome!

  • this stronghold is such a bitch, especially on hard mode. Not only are they ridiculously strong and annoying, they also drop down at least a third of your units health.

  • necrons: what could be cooler than emo goth zombie robots?

  • Chicks?

  • lolicron. duh.

  • emo? no.

    goth? hell yea, my style.

  • necrons goth? lol wish

    their style is simple, zombie-terminator-machine-death-robots

    sry dude, no goth

    dark eldar are goth

  • @M1330 if they looked like human and used leather clothing and sunglasses

  • @M1330 they are not emo or goth, so what the hell are you talking about?

  • it's so strange that the necrons see the living as unlucky since it was their own want to live that made them what they are now

  • You have to understand, the Necrons really have no opinion over anything. Everything that they are is just an extension of the C'tan bloodthirsty malice in universal genocide. So it really is the C'tan who view the living as unlucky.

  • @kingshadownecron well when they made the deal they proboly weren't thinking they'd be turned into mindless machines for all eternity the great deciver probloy decived them

  • @kingshadownecron

Which is why he said "I was like you once, I use to cling to life" and now he regrets it because he's an emotionless robot douche bag.

  • @kingshadownecron

    Actually, the're not alive...

  • Comment removed

  • @V3RTIGO222

I know they are dead i'm just saying it's ironic

  • @kingshadownecron Very true.

  • @kingshadownecron

They are mindless souls trapped in Metal skeletons. Controlled by the C'tan gods. The Pariah only carries the messages of the C'tan, most likely the gods have fucked up this soul for propaganda.

  • @kingshadownecron Erm he actually says LUCKY. This is probably because the living can die where as the necrons must eternally suffer the consequences of their mistake.(allowing themselves to be entombed in their living metal shells)

  • @kingshadownecron They are blessed by the C'tan with Immortality, thus. they are known by most other factions as the "Deathless Army" due to their powerful Gauss technology and gruesome champions of undeath.

  • @kingshadownecron Read the subtitles.

"Lucky creatures. At long last you have found the tranquility of death."

  • @BlueRogue6 yes and if you knew thier backstory you would know the became what they are so they could live longer becaused they feared death now they want death and hate living

  • YEAH XD

  • 1:00 - watch them shoot the scout in mid-air...

    LOL

  • It only hit me the other day when I went to go see the movie, but necron warriors look a LOT like Terminators.

  • thats the point=)

  • It's partly what they were based on.

In the same way that the Eldar were based on a mixture of Tolkien's elves and asiatic warriors, the Necrons were based on a cross between the 'Terminator' machines (merciless metal skeletons advancing slowly and unstoppably) and Ancient Egyptian mummies (the undead rising from tombs, swarms of scarabs, obelisks and pyramid-like structures).

  • Goood Observation i like what u said

  • Chaos version was better because of those squeaking cultists ^^

  • Aww, come on man, the Cultists is worst designed thing in DoW :P

  • "Oh, my spleen!"

  • I see four really really unbelievably dead scouts

  • maybe i turtle too much as the necrons, but i find it much easier to fight the chaos marines and the regular marines, since they don't spam units quite as fast.

on maps where you win by holding on to points, i think the eldar or dark eldar could easily beat the madly slow-moving necrons.

  • after i planted the bomb i was like.........LEG IT!!!!

  • lucky creatures

  • when you attack as orks is the squad that gets killed a slugga boy squad

  • Yes. I think so, because when I played with IG it was IG troops.

  • '"the necrons, iron plague and reavers of souls in the galaxy, they leave a path of pain, sorrow, destruction and blood"and sorry to here about your brother who got nightmares.....he shouldn't have played the most violent but cool strategy game.

  • my littie brother had nightmeras

  • He shouldnt have played a game he wasnt old enough for then :D

  • @GoldGyarados how can u have nightmares by this. are u serious

  • I've never seen this one. I have played it on easy and normal (and gotten to the catacombs) but I never saw this particular cutscene. I saw a different one, one of the differences was that there where two squads of marines, not one squad of scouts who got ambushed.

  • "When I uncovered the truth, I too shuddered and paled with fear. The truth...that Relic had made the Necrons too damn strong and this stronghold is *BEEP*ing hard."

  • HAHHAAHHAHAHA!

  • you have no idea how much i lol'd just then.

  • necrons are so cool...

  • they're unbelievbly powerful i sent chaplain at them 1 group of warriors killed him and i had to use titan cannons to kill em also 4 monoliths idiot not 1

  • He might of been playing as the orcs, I think the orcs only fight 1 as they don't use the titan cannons.

  • "We are born for a darker purpose than that of mere existence. There will come a time when the stygian night never ends, where dead stars will spread before us like islands that slumber on the ocean, and when the beings that hid like shadows will feed on us forever." -Adept Corteswain at the Omniastery of Selethoth, shortly before his disappearance.

    Codex: Necrons, page #51

  • 00:42

    "Oh dear ..."

  • Are those Tau Gue'vesas the necrons were chasing (and later killing)? They seem to have the wrong coloring to be IG, and don't have armor so they're not space marines.....

  • those are scout marines of the space marines

  • Space Marine Scouts

  • Damn that Pariah has a sweet voice. Too many Necronic cigarettes, if I'm not mistaken.

  • "I'd love to have some more enthusiasm but being a Necron... I can't T_T" lol

  • I played the campaign through with the Necrons and defeated everyone easily. Then I tried to defeat the Necrons with the Imperial Guard...youch. Leads me to thinking the game's slightly unbalanced.

    Still fun though.

  • Darn, the Necron Stronghold has got to be one of the hardest in the game. Those four obbellisks can prove to be challenging, especially the resurection one, which is right outside of your starting base.

  • they nerfed them in Soulstorm. I was so depressed when i played them. They just occasionally send a squad of necron warriors and that's it. The end was a different story when they summoned the monoliths, but they were playing horribly throughout most of the game.

  • Oh man, thats just another reason for me to not buy SS. Goddamit.

  • What are you talking about? All you just need to do is try to mass your units. Btw, what race where you playing as anyway?

  • who is the "speaker"? :S

    thx

  • The Necron Stronghold can be tough, but with a lil bit of soldier squads and mines near the tunnel openings where they come out from, you got this one wrapped up. Still, very challenging Stronghold they have.

  • Lol one flew in the air and how many times do they need to shoot 4 guys.

  • xD must they shoot so much? Its only 4 guys.

  • Necrons rule!!

  • I Defeted the necrons with the Imperial guards!

    it was a long battle

but inb the end i planted the bomb and made a runner

I FORGOTEN TO CAPTURE THE TUNNELS XD

  • Lol, when playing the Necron stronghold with guard, don't bother!

Just turtle, build a load of turrets, get loads of men, and pump them into 20 Chimeras and use Tactica Command to find the right spot to plant bomb, once you've done that, get all your Chimeras there by macro, and swarm!

  • Stopping these guys is tough. Too many towers in the lair of their place. One for raising the dead, another for lossing control of ya vehicles, another to blind ya, etc. These Necrons are a pain.

  • i whod hav takan my canses whith the shaft

  • necron rulez!!!

  • I've been looking for this video for a long time. Thanks!

I'm an Eldar fan all the way, but if I had to choose a side of evil it would DEFINITELY be the Necrons. Those mofo's are SO badass.

  • Seraphim.

In 40K no race can be called truly good.

The humans wants to kill everything that isnt human.

The eldar cares little for if the other races lives or dies.

The TAU kills anything that doesent join them.

Did i miss any race now?

  • I don't really see how this is relevant to what I said, Sweddude, but okay.

  • Well you said you wanted to choose a side of evil and he was simply pointing out that everything is evil in their own way

  • Ah, I see what you mean. And to complete his list, he did miss Orks, Tyranids, Dark Eldar, and Chaos. :)

  • The orks.

  • @Sweddude how about orks and dark eldar

  • the endgame is probably going to be necrons vs tyranids vs the imperium with the resurrected emperor. the eldar are already dwindling and their only hope likes in warp resurrection as a single deity. neither chaos nor the orks can ever get their acts together. the tau are too tiny to be considered. what i think will happen is, the iom and necrons will fight to the death and the tyranids will jump ship into another universe -which is the only action feasable for a race entirely bent on survival.

  • Uh, the Ta'u empire rivals that of the Imperium. It's kinda large. Not tiny.

  • I'd say the Necrons are most likely to destroy the galaxy. Everything that they've used in combat up until now has just been the first things to awaken. Its only a matter of time before they all wake up and some kind of galactic alliance will have to be made to stop the Necrons from killing it all.

  • Victims of life, join the Necrons..bring the universe to its grave of enlightenment...let you live in peace for the first time, in death. All life ends in death, and only accelerating to death, with increase your power. The Necrons await you.

  • at least this guy doesn't sound like he has asthma like in soulstorm

  • plans that all involve death. in the codex there shunning heretics.

  • Necrons talk weirdy but their still best

  • Most don't talk at all...

  • one of the reasons they're so cool

  • Precisely.

  • Then the guy playin as the necrons was likely the shittest warhammer 40k player ever. All a necron army needs to do to win any battle is let a monolith go down in the enemy base & leave a huge squad of necron groundtroops fight until they lose near the monolith. The enemy thinks they've won but it's ressurrection time! XD can't touch this! lool

  • my necrons will rip the skin off your girly little space marines then blast them to bitz

  • OMG THEY CAN TALK?!

  • Only the pariah, it is told in the intro movie. There were explorer's that epxlored the catacombs and awoke the necron, but they all died, and only one explorer has arisen as a pariah.

  • that does explain it

  • well technically they all shut down remember their immortal no matter how big a blast but ur right they all got smashed

  • I found the Necron Stronghold one of the hardest because they have the Nightbringer AND 3 Monoliths.

  • really i thought it was kinda easy i found the Space marine and Tau Stronholds hard cause u were held down by the enemy until u get the Orbital Blaster thingy or for tau got the communicater

  • lol scout squad just hesitated- "Uh sargeant"

"Yes corporal" did you happen to notice a bunch of necron flayed ones just ambushed us" why no i didn't thanks for telling me" "should we shoot them" "no lets just look around until they kill us"

  • i found this battle is really hard if ure eldar

  • iv nevr gotten that far in eldar campaign and no wonder its so hard i mean they are like arch enemies anyways

  • Yep, they are very stong, especially the ressurection orb artifect from the necron lord, you can get beyond your normal squad cap. I dont think there is other race that can do that, but i think the necron have also some weaknesses, like none of their squads can have commanders, or weapon upgrades (except the tomb-spider). And i personally think their vehicels suck, escpessialy the lesser necron lord. He is very easily killed and stunning enemies doesn't work good.

  • yes i agree actualy very well put their but i must admit due to the fact that the necron lord, with the right wargear and artifacts, is actually okay at stunning enimies he is also effective as a sort of decoy for necron warriors or flayed ones but thats about all hes good for

  • Do you mean the necron lord or the lesser necron lord? cause i meant the lesser necron lord, the normal necron lord (which can aquire artifacts) is superb, but the lesser necron lord is in my eyes weak.

  • lesser waa? we are talking bout DOW right

  • Nope, sorry :) In DOW there are no necrons...only orcs, eldar, space marine, chaos and imperial guard.

They came with Dark Crusade...together with the tau-empire . That were 2 new races. Like the movie title says: "Dark Crusade Necron Stronghold Assault ".

  • yer i know all that but in witch DOW was their a lesser necron lord like was it Dark Crusade or was it winter assault cause in the end their all DOW like the new one coming out DOW soulstorm

  • Now i understand, it is in : Warhammer 40.000 Dawn of War Dark crusade. But i must admit i never played winter assault, but as far as i know there are no necrons in winter assault.

  • not as a race but if ur imperial guard in the campaign their are so many Funking necrons with like 9 monoliths and 20 battalions of necron warrioirs but u get mini tian cannons ^_^ but the game is worth that mission

  • Towards the end of Winter Assault, there is a small batch of Necrons (one monolith and a few squads of Warriors) who attack whatever faction you're playing as. They're actually relatively powerful.

  • Technically, only the Necrons and the Eldar can exceed the 20/20 squad cap. Necrons can raise up to 20+4 cap worth with the Ressurection Orb (as of 1.2), or 20+5 with the Tomb Spyder. They can also trade their two 3-cap Destroyer Lords for enemy 5-cap vehicles, bringing them to a 25/22 total.

On the other hand, the Eldar get boosted to 24/30 just for having a Avatar on the field. So there.

  • Oh, about the avatar i never knew, tnx for the good response!

  • Well, if we are to be specific, one of Lukas Alexander's wargear items raises the squad cap as well if memory serves.

  • Apparently I cannot count. The total is 25/24

  • Isn't Avatar the guy's name? not "an Avatar" lol

  • Hmm. No, not really. There's multiple Avatars, just usually not at the same time, and all of the same god.

*insert rant on how a Avatar is awoken/made*

  • Do you mean the avatar of Kaela Mensha Khaine?

  • That Pariah SICKENS me.

  • I love his voice.

  • You might, but his death monologues creep me a lot.

Also, if there were the catacombs, why didn't the scouts go out through there?
