Nightwish are still simply amazing and fantastic even with Anette. The true soul of the band wasn't Tarja, isn't Anette: is Tuomas. I love Nightwish's songs, and they are written all by Tuomas. So i'll still listen to Nightwish till Tuomas will write such beautiful songs

@TheMostSotos I saw them live and It was ... insane. The energy was amazing and Anette was a monster on that stage. Her stage presence was incredible. and you can tell that they actually like each other, she's great with the fans, and the band communicates a lot more positively.
I love Tarja so much, and I thought she was amazing live, and still is with her solo career, but from witnessing them, they do have that energy still.

After hearing Anette a lot the recent times, I get used to her voice. I begin to respect her voice, and the new album of Nightwish. Still, I believe the charm of the old numbers are gone with Tarja's dismissal.
Nice. I think a high quality version of this would surpass the album version. I love all the stuff that Tuomas adds with his keyboard that's not in the album version.
Superb performance by the whole band (not just Anette and Marco - though they are awesome - but everyone - for example, Emppu's guitar work on the fast parts of this song is one of the clearest and most precise live renditions I've heard), and excellent quality video. :-)

This is not Nightwish any more. Without bassist vocals I would think that this never had been Nightwish. This is Tarjas songs and she cant sing them. The new songs are adapted for Anette's voice, but nothing special.
You are right, I did not express my self in right way. I know that the songs are written by Toumas, but Tarja was singing (that's why i said this is Tarja's songs).
I used to think like you.. Like "Tarja was better etc".. But by just listening, I started liking Anette's voice atleast as much as Tarja's.. It's just in your mind :P For example, Anette does the old songs well, especially I think Ever Dream is one of the best songs for her.. Ofcourse you may disagree but I just tell my opinion ^^

lol i love annette she's so cute and full of energy. that's the big difference between annette and tarja. tarja was sophisticated and aristocratic, and had a darkness and light, while annette has a cute and hyper energy. lol
Honestly I think Tarja and Marco complimented each other when they sang. Maybe even challenged each other's strengthes. The music or voices just don't seem as strong and intense at all. :P I wish them luck anyway now that it has died down.
I think this two are wonderful together, I think most of the problem comes from Marco to be honest. I don't know what is up with him, but he isn't half as good as what he used to be. I really think Anette makes this sound a lot heavier. And she also has a really great chemistry on stage with the band.
I really didn't like her stage presce at all when I saw them. I tried to give it a go, but It lacked so much for me from what I was used to for Nightwish. It just wasn't the band I loved. It is just the way it is for some of us. Not really a biggie, they went in a new direction. I think Marco has had to tone himself down and the music is also lacking because of the new vocals not being as powerfully sang. I think it is great people enjoy them as they are. I'm just not one of them :P

You know, I'm not one sided or anything about Tarja and Annette, but she really can't sing the same material as Tarja did. Annette is too pop, and Tarja had a much lower opera voice which suited songs like this. Sorry Annette, but don't ruin any more of my favorite old nightwish songs.

Dark Passion Play was a phenomenal album, but I'm just not feeling the old songs with Annette singing. I'd feel cheated if I saw them live and they didn't play mostly DPP material.

Superb performance by the whole band (not just Anette and Marco - though they are awesome - but everyone - for example, Emppu's guitar work on the fast parts of this song is one of the clearest and most precise live renditions I've heard), and excellent quality video. :-)

This is not Nightwish any more. Without bassist vocals I would think that this never had been Nightwish. This is Tarjas songs and she cant sing them. The new songs are adapted for Anette's voice, but nothing special.

I used to think like you.. Like "Tarja was better etc".. But by just listening, I started liking Anette's voice atleast as much as Tarja's.. It's just in your mind :P For example, Anette does the old songs well, especially I think Ever Dream is one of the best songs for her.. Ofcourse you may disagree but I just tell my opinion ^^

lol i love annette she's so cute and full of energy. that's the big difference between annette and tarja. tarja was sophisticated and aristocratic, and had a darkness and light, while annette has a cute and hyper energy. lol

Honestly I think Tarja and Marco complimented each other when they sang. Maybe even challenged each other's strengthes. The music or voices just don't seem as strong and intense at all. :P I wish them luck anyway now that it has died down.

I think this two are wonderful together, I think most of the problem comes from Marco to be honest. I don't know what is up with him, but he isn't half as good as what he used to be. I really think Anette makes this sound a lot heavier. And she also has a really great chemistry on stage with the band.

I really didn't like her stage presce at all when I saw them. I tried to give it a go, but It lacked so much for me from what I was used to for Nightwish. It just wasn't the band I loved. It is just the way it is for some of us. Not really a biggie, they went in a new direction. I think Marco has had to tone himself down and the music is also lacking because of the new vocals not being as powerfully sang. I think it is great people enjoy them as they are. I'm just not one of them :P

There was a time one when she screamed in Slaying the Dreamer, I think there was a long not there, but she overshot it and it was awful!
But that is the only complaint I have about Anette is one scream in the first concert she ever did, which I have the bootleg of.

You know, I'm not one sided or anything about Tarja and Annette, but she really can't sing the same material as Tarja did. Annette is too pop, and Tarja had a much lower opera voice which suited songs like this. Sorry Annette, but don't ruin any more of my favorite old nightwish songs.

Dark Passion Play was a phenomenal album, but I'm just not feeling the old songs with Annette singing. I'd feel cheated if I saw them live and they didn't play mostly DPP material.

Go Anette!! ppl should go to a concert of Nightwish if you i have the chance, you will understand how good anette really is, you're comparing her with a studio-edited DVD of Tarja which is almost compare her with an album, these videos don't sound like the real thing, you have to be there to hear the truth, and Anette will keep snging olds songs as long as the band request for it.
