Hahaha there was a longer delay in the gates going up after the train passed than there was warning with the gates going down when the train was approaching. For the speed the train was travelling, this is on the dangerous side.
Yeah it could, however, a lot of traffic goes into the railroad park and the small power plant so it would be a inconvienence to people to have to wait for the BNSF signals to go up when they are heading into the railroad park. Still not a bad idea though.
Yeah, it could've been bad, but at least not as bad as the new BNSF crossing in the foreground, lol. I heard UP changed the timing of their crossing when they put the new ties in.
only two sec. late FRA states the gates must be fully down 5 sec before train enters a crossing and around 20 sec total from lights start up to train entering

Thanks! I stayed by the BNSF because there was a BNSF coming right after the UP cleared, which was led by a SD75M.
