  • WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! classical musicals r always in!

  • Reba is the entertainer of the year every year she s one of the best I wish i could have seen her in this broadway musical she was great

  • Well, it's obvious the performance of this song was not done on a Broadway stage. It was in some studio somewhere. It's very unlikely there was any rehearsal in this space, so, it's going to be 'stilted' because of the unfamiliarity of the surroundings. Anyway, she the best Annie that has ever performed this role . . . and I oughtta know . . . she's my cousin.

  • Reba looks and sounds lovely here--the perfect Annie, but the performance is stiff and a little drawn in. I bet that with a little more stage work she'd be a fantastic broadway actress/singer.

  • Do anybody have Anything you can do i can do better.... I'm lokking for the song, but can't find it.

  • where did u get this i wish i could find the whole play!?!

  • This is the best!!! For sure amazing!!! :D

  • Don't bash Reba, obviously the viewers of this video will bash you right back.

  • bernadette peters' version is better

  • I WANT that dress! :D

  • Perfect casting! It would be enough that Reba is a very talented singer and thoroughly engaging performer. But her authentic Oklahoma twang (yeah, I know the real Annie Oakley was actually from Ohio) and genuine down home attitude take this performance to a whole 'nother level of believability. I can see why the critics raved about her in this show. Brava!

  • Love Reba. And I'm not a fan of Country music, but she is QUITE talented.....singing as well as acting...

  • I prefer the speedier versions, but this is still good.

  • Reba do Broadway again!!

  • Amazing performance . Reba couldn't be nominated for the TONY because she didn't originate the part in the revival but she won the Drama Desk award for this performance on Broadway and won enormous critical reviews. I was lucky enough to see her in this performance on Broadway and she was extraordinary. Also got to meet her backstage afterwards and she was extremely nice and gracious. Thanks for posting this video.

  • @Huntress59 It was like an entirely new musical when she took over from Bernadette Peters!! The Tony Awards should have awarded her a special Tony as they did with Pearl Bailey back in the 1960's when she took over for Hello Dolly. It would have been an award happily approved by the theater community!! The role fitted Reba as if originally created for her.

  • @MrDarrellmoo . Wow I didn't know that they gave Pearl Bailey a special Tony. I got to see her do Hello Dolly when she did the show in Chicago. Another amazing performance. I agree the theatre community would have approved of a special Tony for Reba

  • @Huntress59 It was back in 1968 during the original run of the show. After four years the box-office was falling off so David Merrick deserved to revamp the show with an all-black cast with Bailey cast as Dolly. It was a smash and kept the show running. But because she didn't originate the role naturally she wasn't able to be nominated that year but the Tonys thought her performance was worthy enough for recognition so they awarded her a Special Tony Award. They sould have done that with Reba.

  • @MrDarrellmoo I meant "...DECIDED to revamp...".!!! LOL!!!

  • (: Reba Roxx!!!

  • I love Rebas laugh!!!!

  • I LOVE REBA is is AMAZING :)

  • She is wayyyy better than Bernadette Peters.

  • @caddyismygirl In this role, FOR SURE! She's so down home and southern. Bernadette was not, I hated her accent, and for crying out loud she's Italian!

  • she is the best...i love love love her....wow.

  • Annie Get Your Gun Sun in the Morning with Reba

  • eh, she's no bernadette peters.

  • Reba makes anything and EVERYTHING a hit

  • @Jgaldragon Yes she does!! I love Reba!!!

  • I remember them discussing filming "Annie Get Your Gun" with Reba for either PBS, or Disney was going to make it one of their TV movie musicals. They also looked into the possibility of making a feature film about it, but when she was in the show, the movie musical wasn't "hot".

  • I read that it was CBS but the funding fell through. I have seen hundreds of Broadway shows and one of my three biggest regrets was not going back to see Annie Get Your Gun with Reba. I saw her on CBS This Morning and cried after several clips from several numbers.

  • If they do a remake of this movie they gotta get Reba to do it!!!

  • Was this done at the View? It looks like their stage

  • For some reason I thought this was on the Rosie O'Donnell show. But I could be wrong.

REBA NEEDS TO DO BROADWAY AGAIN!!!

  • Jolly good!

  • I just wished that they had filmed the play with Reba - I would love to watch it.

  • As always reba rocks, she is always wonderfuly spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Reba i'm your #1fan

  • This was the Broadway revival designed for Bernadette Peters, who won the Tony. Reba later replaced her in the role and got rave reviews, her Broadway debut.

  • Reba is AMAZING at whatever she does! I wish they would bring this to the screen with Reba!

  • wow such a good job as usuall

  • Reba dperforms and sings any thing she is asked even though she may be out of her comfort zone

  • @11777766 Barbara Cook said that RHeba's taalent was incredible, and Ms. Cook should know.

  • i think she was great..

  • Reba is amazing. Mabey not exactly for broadway. Not to say that she isnt great. She is such a wonderful country singer and so hilarious!!!!

  • Thank you for posting this, i have been trying to find Reba's broadway performances!

  • Gotcha! =)

  • Oh my! She could get a tony if she ever does that role!

  • she did this role on broadway in 200 but i agree with you she should have gotten one

  • They made some awards for her entirly

  • She did Annie Get Your Gun in 2001

  • Totally winning!

It's clear Reba is a Broadway Star, as well as everything else --- her South Pacific in concert was adorable!

  • i completly agree reba is the best she has accomplished so many things, so any one who has anything bad to say about her can shut up. REBA IS THE QUEEN OF COUNTRY MUSIC!

  • shut up. just plain shut up no one cares what the crap u think JCMarra.

  • reba does it best!! its so awesome!!

  • Wow. I never thought to have Reba sing Annie, but wow. What a perfect part for her!

  • Reba absolutely sounds just stunning here. I just love her!

  • This is such a great song, and I can't get it out of my head.

  • JCMarra im pretty sure you dont know nothing about music she is one of the best singers in country music

  • and how the fuck would you know anybetter? do you know what she has accomplished? she is the queen of country music. she has more gold records than anyone, and she is the most sucsessful in the entertainment industry, she has been on broadway, she has her own tv show, clothing line.....do i have to keep going?

  • i agree shes the best ive heard. Shes the queen and she always will be.

  • amen to that!! Reba is the best there is!!

  • @countrygirl5555 @countrygirl5555 I just popped onto this clip to show my granddaughter what 'wholesome' music used to be like, and I immediately hit your foul language and hectoring tone. Whatever your strength of feeling, why let yourself down, girl, by using the language of the gutter?

  • @countrygirl5555 JCMarra said that she is a fantastic singer in her genre. This is not her genre . . . and I have to agree, this is not Reba at her best, nor is it Broadway at its. JCMarra called it right this time, and your rage response does not do you credit.

  • @countrygirl5555 Amen! The performance is totally appropriate to the character. We are talking about Annie Oakley of the Wild West Show! Reba delivers one of the great performances in the history of musical theatre here. Just ask the NY critics!! Nuff said...

  • @JCMarra To be fair, that "country music sob" in her voice is her voice. She's a country girl - she speaks with it and she sings with it. And what better Broadway character to share it with than Annie Oakley? Merman, Mary Martin, and Bernadette Peters all (successfully) affected a twang for the role.

And the "hoedown" arrangement was written into the show for the 1999 revival - which is the same arrangement and run of the show that Reba walked into. That hardly qualifies as a nod to Opryland.

  • ok, she's even better as Annie Oakley than Bernadette Peters. I loved that video.

  • love her..... she's so lovely in this role is fit her perfectly , made it just for her :), i wish there were more videos of the play , thanks

  • doesnt get better than this!

  • LOL--reba was BORN to play this role--love that gorgeous violin on this 2
