I don't know about all these guys arguing... but my dad had a 2002 Passat 1.8T, and I was able to just squeeze by my buddy's GSR time and time again. it was close as hell every time, but I always had him by a nose. until about 100mph, at which point the turbo pretty much finished him off and I started walking away like it was nothing.
I hate when people say oh my audi 2.8 is faster than the 1.8 turbo and it doesn't have a turbo. Have you seen the specs? I have a 1.8t. when it was stock, it had 150 horsepower. the 2.8 has 190. I'm almost positive it has a little more torque too. THAT is why your 2.8 is faster. the stock turbo is a little ko3 that pushes like 6 psi. It's nothing.
I figured the acura would win... I like the a4 more though, can you tell me how much horsepower your 1.8t has? I am going to look for one of these after I sell my grand prix, i have to get rid of it first before i get another car

The integra got a head start off the line, not necessarily on purpose, it may have been that the audi driver was late on his launch. But you can see right after the launch they stay the same distance apart, then the audi closes in at the higher speeds.
The reason the GSR took him off the line like that also is because the Audi had an automatic trans, and you cant launch worth a damn with an auto.
