Why is it that people in USA usually got solid-carpeted rooms? It would be MUCH easier to clean cat-poo/vomit if the floor was a sleek plastic floor. Wooden floor isn't as good, my mother's cats sometimes piss on it, and the piss goes through the gaps and the wood got damaged, so it's pretty unhygienic...
