I am a Falun Gong practitioner. Falun Dafa is a cultivation system in the Buddha School based on the principles of the Universe: 真 Truthfulness 善 Compassion 忍 Forbearance.
Since 1999 it has been brutally persecuted by the CCP in China. People are being killed, tortured, put into concentration camps and have organs harvested from live people, simply because of their belief. More than 3400 Falun Gong practitioners have died at the hands of CCP in the past 12 years.
Eileen Caddy's books are all excellent, along with my all time favourite " In perfect timing" by Peter Caddy, reads like a novel, awesomely inspiring as it's what happened following his own guidance (as well as Eileens) Happy New Year Findhorn friends ;-) xxx Tony W
I have followed the magic of Findhorn since I was a child wandering in a library and read a book about the beginning 35- 40 years~The way of the Future...Remember the earth and to be come tribal again...thank you for sharing~
Very appealing way to live - escape the Rat Race and live very simply. Everyone coexisting together and cherishing and valuing one another. Utopia or Animal Farm? hard to say. Mind you if it's good enough for Mike Scott. Interesting Post.
So if God, Allah, Krishna, Consciousness, Divine Intelligence (whatever you choose to call it exisits?)they can only be reached on a Sunday afternoon, whilst in a state of grace and wearing a, a stupid hat, a fur coat and no knickers. Or perhaps whilst kneeling on a prayer mat wearing a skull cap and chanting and flaying yourself. Need I go on????? If you truly believe you can connect and feel at one with the Universe, you can do so anywhere, anytime, anyhow.
@rockchick80s Actually throughout forever human beings have had rituals with regards their religions, rituals put the emind and spirit in a different place. Yes you can and should be spiritual all the time, however ritual is essential and we are very ritualistic by nature..You call yourself a rock chick.bet you listen to music and got places playing rock music? Why? surely you can just be a rock chick in silence 24 hours a day.the music and the place are ritual that changes your brain chemistry.

Wonderful story of how Findhorn was founded. They seem such lovely, ordinary, down to earth people. Fully intend to go and stay there one day.
