Secondly, we've never used creative mode once (except to fly back to our bodies on episode 1). Third: Most viewers don't want to watch every single last second of play time, it's boring. Fourth (and most importantly): there is a VERY easy solution here for you buddy, If you don't like the content don't watch it. Pretty simple actually.

I used Fraps for 45 minutes of Minecraft 1.1 recording, and I had no issues. I'm not sure if its because I downloaded Fraps only a week or two ago, or because I'm on Vista. Fraps is a fickle problem.

I think it might be backround programs. If you do a lot of stuff prior to recording, the low RAM might affect the recording.

I HAD THAT PROBLEM TOO! Reinstall Java Runtime and if you have x64 windows get Runtime x64 too, make sure you uninstall Java completely off your PC, sometimes it leaves some files behind which just makes it worse...

Great episode, as always. I don't think you really have to worry about what you're showing as long as it isn't a full episode of just digging or laying foundations. Just play and we'll watch!

That said, I would like to see more of the actual planning and layout. It was really cool to see Tobias start to block out the basement. It's always a little disappointing to come back to a next episode and see stuff magically finished. I want to see more of the process.

Just to let you know sort of "behind the scenes" on this. I would love to make the episodes longer, but right now the main reason for trying to grow the channel is to upgrade my PC. My processor esp is very old, and my MB is maxed out. Rendering a 45min episode takes almost 3hrs. So that's the main reason why I'm posting shorter epis for now.

As for your FPS drops, it's probably your CPU overheating. Minecraft is very CPU intensive, and to prevent overheating, it causes FPS drops. Because Minecraft is constantly updating, it's perfectly possible you didn't have this at first.

What you and tobiwan should know is that cave mining is actually pretty efficient since most of the pickaxe durability is preserved and since you don't use it up on making tunnels because the resources are all exposed.

That error is a minecraft thing, it happened to me before, just as 1.0 came and it was pretty much unplayable. I wasn't recording so it's definitely not a fraps thing.

Meanwhile, I changed some stuff around in my graphics card definitions and I can play normally again, I'm not sure what I changed though...
