  • recorded off WNBC-TV in New York.

  • Ive been looking for this slide for years ! Brings back warm memories, things were so much better than. we could use slides like this in these troubled times.

  • That's right, 'vivid'.

  • anymore promos and pre-emptions from the tv disclaimer section in this youtube site?

  • Appreciated, 'tap'.

  • This isn't a "promo"- this is a "disclaimer slide" advising viewers that the programs normally seen between 9 and 10pm(et) on "this" Monday night, sometime in late 1973, would NOT be seen this evening. The "CBS Special Presentation" bumper then followed, immediately followed by the special itself. At the end, this slide would be shown again, reminding viewers that "'HERE'S LUCY' and 'THE NEW DICK VAN DYKE SHOW' will return next Monday night at their regular times, on most of these stations".

  • THANKS----TITLE CORRECTED.

  • @fromthesidelines, 1973-74 was the last season for "Here's Lucy".

  • What 1973 special was this block from?

  • PERRY COMO

  • Come to think of it, the V/O may have been one of the West Coast announcers.

  • Also, could this have been for "The Perry Como Winter Special," which originally aired Dec. 10, 1973?

  • You know something...I am starting to love those CBS clips from the 1960s and 1970s.

If you have anymore to share...please post here.

Love the video by the way but don't know who the V/O is. Could be Bill Gilliand but it's probably not him.

  • Pray tell, who was the V/O on this? (And B.T.W., it was in 1973 that Serif Gothic Medium - the font seen on this slide - had its first exposure to the world.)

  • Looks to me like the same font I had to remake on my WCBS-2 WTC Slide vid.

So it seems, WCBS was also using it after this bit in the later 70s..

TT- the quality of these last vids look great

  • must be the recode settings---may have to re-post those other clips

  • Actually, 1973 was when that logo first took effect. So it was the same time period.
