@Retrainmytrain No its not. The Railroad museum use it from Duluth to Two Harbors. On one trip to this location, we just missed an over under meet with the DM&IR, and the SOO 4-6-2 steam locomotive running to Two Harbors. Thanks for watching. Jackmp294...
Seriously miss living in Two Harbors for this reason. The sound of the engines/horns/cars was one of the most relaxing things to listen to at night. Thankfully now, I live within earshot of CN (DM&IR) lines and still get to experience the trains. There was just something magical about laying in bed at night and listening to the trains dump their load down the chutes into the awaiting ore carriers that I miss out on these days. Thanks for sharing this video!
@cravenlapse That sound is fantastic, and something that is missed, big time, moving away from it. I can only imagine the sounds of ore down the chutes. Gotta be great. My front porch is 20' from the ex-B&O, CSX mainline. Been there for 23 years now. Had the house forsale about 10 years ago. While sitting on the patio, I can hear and e/b coming up the river, and w/b coming down. Fantastic! I desided right there to back out the deal. I am sure glad I did. Thanks for watching. Jackmp294...
