It's easy to see why Gin was about to kill her, normally you can't really see his hands. He hides them in his robe. But, when Hitsugaya says "You were about to kill Momo..." you can see his right hand is revealed, his sword arm. A second later he'd probably have taken out his sword and cut her down.
#1: It looks like he might have been making a hand sign at 4:51. With everyone distracted during the Kira/Momo fight, it would have been easy for him to kill her with a jutsu and not be noticed.
#2: Kira is far stronger than Momo. By inciting her with Aizen's "death", Gin might have gotten her killed if the fight between her and Kira had persisted, albeit indirectly. Kira did say that he would treat her as an enemy.
@goldenmelody722 While your second one is true, she already knows of Kira's abilities (sword wise) his can only work if he manages to hit her sword with Wabisuke... In which case if she can stay away he probably will lose. However, throw Gin into the mix he will kill her with her back turned; in which case it just became an unfair fight.

@helghast45 She admired him though. It was probally ahrd for her to accept that Aizen is really an evil, power hungry lunatic that needs stopping. Izuru was also being a fool here too and he was blind, if Gin really was a loyal captain he would of kept his Vice captain in check but no he let them fight.

Momo and Aizen were like Father and daugher, So idk if you a girl or boy, but what if you cared for your father so deaply that you were willing to risk you life for him. Then everyone thought he was dead, what would you do... if you though you best friends dad killed him? (LOL Gin a dad... Wow... Priceless Lmao)
