@largolegato I think he is concentrated and concerned about it´s own performance. Maybe it´s very easy to sound awful in the trumpet with the minimal mistake. The other guys and gals seams to get fun with the playing haha
The moment at 3:36 is just hilarious, she seems to say "hey, it's not me, it's the music!"... I'm so happy she played that concerto! I wish i was there...
@SnowClouds810 I think she has a strange gift for some Russian composers - no one plays Rach 3 like she does, she also brilliantly plays Prokofiev. And yes - Shostakovich.
the encore is taken at a much faster tempo than the one chosed for the entire concerto. Probably this is the tempo MA had chosen to play this concerto.
i really don't think she likes the first violinist, the little glances she gives him...when you see her playing with him as concert master at the beethoven, he says something to her after her encore, and the look on her face afterwards is hilarious...its like wtf.
@MrElicottero well, i appreciate argerich's playing so so so much, i listen to her playing at least once a day...but i just found it funny. If you don't care, then don't comment on it thank you.
@kyleclef I just never seem to understand why is any of that important. If she were the most horrible person in the history of music, I would still admire her playing. (And while we're at the topic, my friend has met her and has played with her on several occasions and he always says she is one of the warmest most normal people he's met in the music world.)
@kyleclef I thought the contrary here, they seem all very involve and happily transported by the music! Where are your proof of what you put foward?!! Actuely I think the orchestra and 1st violin are very talented...
The col legno parts are my favorite. That and the trumpet part at the end.

and if you see what she is like with other people, when he tries to joke with her, she never responds.

WHOA! This was beautiful. Their smiles and energy made this much better than the actual performance.
