this is so great. I loved the Academy reference, and the BDA shows mentioned were well chosen. (The BDA clip is soooo great!!) I felt this exact same way. I guess I'd say that I was happy to see both the Cadets and Phantom come back to a more traditional program. The Devils are executing amazingly, they're just guilty of losing US in the process. I actually was blown away by the first half of their program. The Cadets' show is just unbelievable, and a worthy champion.

Ergo, Hitler would not be a Cadets fan. Simple logic my friend. Now, we can discuss how A. the forced "evolution" of drum corps has caused a niche activity to shrink its base B. Alienate its long loyal fans and C. become a follower (of WGI) instead of a leader in the activity...if you'd like. IMO, electronics killed corps.

He doesn't have to be to have realized how good their show was this season. He clearly doesn't like the props and BS factor, and he calls out the Cadets for the voiceovers. I've been one to adapt to change pretty well, I marched in the late 90s early 00s, I didn't see the switch from G to Bb or the additional members to be as big a deal as some of my peers. Hell, I was a pit member for a few years, I know the old old skool guys still gripe about having a pit! However, a change that I could not abide was amps & synths. To me, that's the day drum corps died. I do appreciate the hard work, I just hate the activity now.
