Até que enfim estão postando mais vídeos do MC5, antes só tinha uma versão em preto e branco ao vivo dessa música. Falar nisso, ninguém notou uma semelhança com "Rock'n'Roll" do Led Zeppelin?
Great to hear this! This song was recorded by Jerry Lee Lewis, but I never knew there were cover versions. But this isn't really just a cover job... it's GREAT!!!
London 1972 "The greatest live rock n roll show on earth" C. Berry, L.Richard etc etc.
The 5 came on stage, Wayne was painted gold head to toe (hands, face etc.), Rob had 3ft. Afro filled with glitter, Fred was painted silver and had a cape.
The crowd was struck dumb . It was brilliant.
Poor guys blew up after that, Tyner was way too out of touch politialoonie selfoptocusted.
Saw Wayne at Dingwalls in Camden town, we talked a bit about the days at the Grande.
@realself1 The concert venue was filled with Teds, they didn't know what to make of it. My brother and I got into the photo pit at the foot of the stage, a guy I knew from the old (real) Marquee let us in.
If there is footage the people who have it would also have the Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Screaming Lord Such etc. segments.
Try Wayne's web site, I caught up with him several years latter at Dingwalls in Camden Lock.
where can i find some really cool mc5 footage like this...?...i mean....a complete dvd or something?...i need it so bad....ps: great man....you were there?...pretty awesome :)
This is from a DVD called MC5: Kick Out the Jams by Leni Sinclar. You can find it on line. Its a bunch of old supe 8 film shot by Leni, their manages wife. Much harder to find is the never relesed documentary A True Testimonial.. It is awsome
yep, you're on that one; i suppose everyband in those days inspired each other which is why there were so many great bands! What do you think of Live at Leeds by the who Khultan? If you like Mc5 you'll that album!
yep brilliant band man and way ahead of their time BUT I always felt that they tried to copy Led Zepplin but came up with their own unique sound instead.
SInce the Five were formed in 1964, over three years before Zeppelin, I don't think so. But I think it's fair to say that they, like many, many other bands, were influenced by the Yardbirds.
oh wayne kramer...

dennnpeter 1 year ago
dennnpeter
This song came earlier than Zep's Rock n' Roll.
Stenkth 11 months ago
@Stenkth So... Rock n' Roll looks like Ramblin Rose... interesting!
dennnpeter 11 months ago
That's right, Ramblin' Rose was first, then Rock and Roll from Zep.
