  • awwww fuck justin bieber fo making the world 4get this kind of mucic!!!!!!

  • Who think this song looks like "Rock'n'Roll" from Led Zeppelin?

  • dennnpeter

This song came earlier than Zep's Rock n' Roll.

  • @Stenkth So... Rock n' Roll looks like Ramblin Rose... interesting!

  • That's right, Ramblin' Rose was first, then Rock and Roll from Zep.

  • Bad video, audio but the best band from Michigan!!!

  • Machine Gun Thompson of the MC5 is just so cooool in his drumming style!

    Thank-you and for the upload!

  • Killer

  • Great to hear this! This song was recorded by Jerry Lee Lewis, but I never knew there were cover versions. But this isn't really just a cover job... it's GREAT!!!

  • @haneysbighouse Jerry Lee Lewis' version is a cover as well, he isn't the one who wrote it.

  • Haha the one person who disliked lost his hearing because the song was so amazing!

  • The one guy who clicked dislike will regret thatwhen he realizes how awesome this band is. :(

  • 8=======D(_Y_)

  • That old 50s blues rock sound cranked at maximum voltage! Brilliant!

  • i think this was filmed at a rouge park concert put on by WABX i was but a wee lad eatin 714's, fifty cents each

  • @plexibill Oh Man, i remember those concerts, the ABX air aces,

    ludes, what an era.

  • London 1972 "The greatest live rock n roll show on earth" C. Berry, L.Richard etc etc.

The 5 came on stage, Wayne was painted gold head to toe (hands, face etc.), Rob had 3ft. Afro filled with glitter, Fred was painted silver and had a cape.

The crowd was struck dumb . It was brilliant.

Poor guys blew up after that, Tyner was way too out of touch politialoonie selfoptocusted.

Saw Wayne at Dingwalls in Camden town, we talked a bit about the days at the Grande.

    Where has music gone.

  • @TR5T is there any footage of this concert? would love to see/hear

  • @realself1 The concert venue was filled with Teds, they didn't know what to make of it. My brother and I got into the photo pit at the foot of the stage, a guy I knew from the old (real) Marquee let us in.

If there is footage the people who have it would also have the Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Screaming Lord Such etc. segments.

Try Wayne's web site, I caught up with him several years latter at Dingwalls in Camden Lock.

  • kramer forever

  • @157stupidguy it's people like you who are the death of real music.

  • well their personal lives arent part of the music now, how'd you know em?

  • at their worst, I reckon. Who isn't an asshole when on drugs 24/7? I know that I am!

  • ...die

  • Man can you ever hear White Stripes and Mudhoney in this stuff. So goddamn influential.

  • TOTALLY AGREE!

  • protopunk

  • hey folks just enjoy the music respect others thoughts

  • Clearly you are an idiot.

  • Oi. You are the fag. @

    KiplingsBumcheeks

  • yep, you're on that one; i suppose everyband in those days inspired each other which is why there were so many great bands! What do you think of Live at Leeds by the who Khultan? If you like Mc5 you'll that album!

  • yep brilliant band man and way ahead of their time BUT I always felt that they tried to copy Led Zepplin but came up with their own unique sound instead.

  • TheLid, Led Zep copied too.

  • They were actually inspired by alot of black musicians like James Brown.

  • SInce the Five were formed in 1964, over three years before Zeppelin, I don't think so. But I think it's fair to say that they, like many, many other bands, were influenced by the Yardbirds.

  • thanks for whoever posted this video. i have just started listening to mc5 they are great
