i have a 1998 dt s with 125k miles on it and yea its rough to start in the mornings at times, but ive found that it may actually be a non return valve in the fuel line?

@foolbass09 you love sumit wi a bita power then why you want a 306?? 90bhp isn't any where near enough altho it could be worse watch some video's of corsa 1.5 td's your 306 will look like a absolute rocket lol
hi,mine does the same,but has like a miss fire/stutter?but goes away when warmed up a little,i too have been making bio diesel and the car runs perfect on it,mine is a 95 dturbo kkk turbo and bosch pump,with 184000 miles on her.and still pulls a mule ;)

erm, they should be ok with 160bhp as far as i'm aware. I'm rebuilding the engine this month anyway. Only time will tell though really, there's a 170bhp dturbo on here somewhere, aided by NOS.
Pardon? you make no sense. I work on these engines day in - day out. The starting smoke isn't too bad, the smoke under acceleration is black smoke - caused by having the max fuelling set at 30deg higher than standard. It was running 26psi of boost through the standard top mount and is now running 21psi and fuelling turned down slightly.
Yeah, they are all the same, just something we learn to deal with. The clutch cable runs across the exhaust. A new cable will sort it but fitting a new cable is a fiddley job :)
Mine has just had new glow plugs and starts WORSE than this??

Chances are the pump rotor head seized
due to varnish build up.Bosch pumps are usually quite tollerant on veg oil but sadly some still die on it.
