My bad...That looked like Chris Goss, haven't done much research on these guys yet.. Alain Johannes you say.. well he is a lucky man to land this gig..
I'm glad to see Chris Goss finally involved with one of Josh's projects. He produced all of KYUSS's records and helped with QOTSA also. I can't wait to hear this album in it's entirety.
In my opinion, Homme, is kind of like a heavier playing Eric Clapton, (with a Jack Bruce-ish voice)whereas Jack White seems Like a modern Jimmy Page. (And John Frusciante reminds me of Hendrix). They're all incredible, but remember. Whil everyone had their favorites from that time, no one could ever really pick the best of them, just like I think no one can really pick the best of them, because they're all so damn good. Just listen to the music and have a good time.
I suppose not, but they both have a really broad style, have their blues roots, and can be sloppy and still make it sound better than mosts guitarists sound when they're completely "Perfect" in their style of playing. P.S. they're by no means sloppy guitarists, they just both have moments of perfect clarity, and moments that aren't perfectly articulated. I love 'em both though.
everyone b proud u knew abt them before they got big because once that cd drops....everyone is goin to b like "oooo there soo good" "oo there my fav band ever" and u can laugh and b like wow u fuckin fake shit
cause this band rite here is gonna change the way things r gonnna b from now on
yeah, 'Chickenfoot' is also a new band with singer and bassist from van halen, joe satriani and the drummer from the chilipeppers and they got main @ Graspop this year
I was there and there were moments where my hands started to turn gold, my head felt like it was floathing above my neck and my legs were moving in ways that they never moved before. If the gig had been any longer, people would've died of intense awesomeness.
Thank you Josh, for sparing us off the most awesome death there is to have
I was at this Pukkelpopconcert last week aswell...and I was in awe. One of the best performances I have ever witnessed. Public was VERY enthusiatic. Their album is gonna be mine!
bowie2too - dont get too caught up in this bowie-esque philosophy. I know a few bowie songs, and Homme sounds similar (very much so) in these, but it's a different style of music in general, so not too relevant I don't think. They both have a low tamber tendency and also extensive use of vibrato, so good catch, but still nothing to get too caught up in
bowie2too - kinda through me off when you brought up bowie, but yeah now that I think of it... I guess that would work in a weird kind of way haha. its fine as is though
Thank you, Lewis! At last someone who takes me seriously... Listen to Josh: he sounds a little like Bowie. And with Tin Machine Bowie wanted to make great music like this!!!
Wow talk about being able to hear all 3 influences in one song! I am really crossing my fingers for Reading now! Even if they don't the excitement is enough to make me keel over haha

Best guitarist/songwriter of the decade. Best drummer of the decade. Best bassist of, well, one of the best bassists of all time. Works for me.

Instead of bassist, just say composer.

Yeah so true man....although I doubt we'll see lots of upright/mandolin in this band, haha.

How badass would it be if they did an unplugged show and did an extended jam for Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp?

im pretty shure jack white takes the cake for best guitarist in a hard rock sort of way.

I don't think so man, Jack White's certainly good but Homme is definitely ahead of him.
