  • im a beginner but this mixer looks good....is it good for a very primal(doesnt have much gear) beginner?

  • will this mixer be just as good and all the effects work with vinyl turntables? cheers

  • Sorry to ask for help, but you are the person most capable of Youtube to help me. I am looking to buy a mixer Stanton SCS.1m, but it has to run in Virtual DJ. Work? Must be in VDJ or PCDJ (VJ) - I play videos remixes and I think the plugin for Serato very expensive.

    I appreciate the help.

  • FETT mixer !!!

  • the touch strip can be used like an input fader for scratching with FX. It's better than a dial because you can multi-touch.

  • gay touch pad that is not needed to be there, it will prolly stop working like it should after a year and then GG

  • imo i think this is sooooo pointless, its just a gimmick to make it stand out from the crowd. even if you were to just replace that touch pad with a fader and let the user control it that way would be so much better. pointless in my opinion

  • touch in this case is crap!

  • How about a touch pad cross fader I know it sounds crazy and unorthodox but wouldn't that be awesome the extra control you could have without the need for freakish dexterity.

  • that is a bunch of DOG SHIT !!!

i could make better music by balls are slapping against the back of your mums arse.

  • Am I the only one who thinks that a good sound card, a decent laptop, a great midi controller, Ableton live and good VSTs could do all that and more?

  • ...and don't forget about Tracktor Pro...

  • @johnnybigood

Midi controllers are unprofessional, you'll know the difference when your working with actual quality equipment.

I started out with a vestax Midi controller and trust me, I'm NEVER going back to it. CDJ+Mixer ALL the way.

Also, when people see you use a MIDI controller they immediately think less of you as a DJ, at least in the club scene.

  • Right...

Get an ANALOG mixer and I will see the difference...

About people in the club thinking less of a DJ... yeah, I do agree with that, but I do believe that it's important to find ways to show these retards how wrong they are.

  • What incredible horseshit, as if an analog mixer handles differently from a digital one. The point is, that ANYONE can be a DJ using digital gear, the same can NOT be said for the CDJ/Mixer setup, that actually takes skill and ear-practice.

THAT is the reason why people don't think highly of digital DJ's, because it's just cheating dude. Hey, I'm all for learning the first steps on digital, but you've got to grow up and use the "big boys' equipment to be a serious player.

  • @DJFerrisFollo Oh yeah, and PS: if you said in 2003 that you used CDs you would listen to all that bullshit you're giving me.

  • I call shenanigans Sir! The first CDJ's on the market where WAY too expensive to be bought by newbs or beginners.

The same does not go for digital controllers, i'm not saying there crap, i'm saying that their unprofessional, that will ALWAYS remain the case as long as they put SYNC buttons on the damn things.

  • shenanigans!

I'm soooooo glad we do agree on the f*** sync buttons... XD

  • If you want options, good ways to manipulate the sound and can manage with 2 channels, nothing can compare to the Pioneer DJM 909, simple as that.

Sure its more expensive, but it pays in the longrun, trust me.

A mixer that still are ahead of its time

    /S

  • usefull feature ! ;)

  • very cool feature

  • good mixer. mad ideas of effects..

but that touch control is ineffective and shit..

its a waste of money on unnecessary extras

  • that is kick ass

  • Dont like those touch pad thing, they dont give you 100% feedback like original faders do

  • u got shit on ur finger

  • Reminds me of a daft punk song with the experimental filter deals, sounds great! Thx for the tutorial J!

  • wer do u get so many mixers and stuff ar u rich?

  • fun

  • is there a 4 channel version of this mixer ,too?

  • djm 400 or this?

  • @edd027 djm 400... trust me. i know pioneer brand is way to overpriced but qaulity wise it cannot compare.

  • ok thanks im not very familiar with mixers and im just relaly starting out i have a pair of cdjs but want to make sure i get a good mixer..does the djm have any effects?

  • @edd027: djm400

  • i think DJM 400

  • Reminds me on buying the Kaoss pad 3 :D

  • So if you press the mid button on the effects panel, it kills the low and high, and only gives you the mid frequencies while you play with the effects? Couldn't you do the same exact thing by simply using the kill switches on a lot of other mixers, and kill the low and high frequencies, leaving the mid, then put in the effects? I thought the point of the low/mid/high switches on the effect panel, was to still pass through all the frequencies, but to focus the effect only on the selected band.

  • (cont) if all the bass/mid/high FX buttons do, is kill the other frequencies, I could do the same thing on any other mixer that has separate channel EQ kill switches, and an effect processor. If they would have made it so the all the frequencies would still pass through, but the FX would focus solely on the selected band, now that would be something unique.

  • That's what I thought.

A bit disappointed, that it kills the frequencies, that are not selected :(

  • @borstenpinsel: I was really excited about this mixer, when I thought it was the other way. How cool would it be to be able to do a transform/cut effect, or a flanger that just effects the mid/high while the bass line continues uneffected? Maybe a flanger on just the bass line, and who knows what else? Really disappointed that it's not that way, and that I could do really the same thing it really does, by just using the EQ kill switches on my DXM09 and a variety of other mixer. Buzz Kill.

  • Otherwise a good enough mixer, just a buzz kill from what I thought it could do.

  • Terrible.

  • Im looking to buy a new 2 channel mixer with effects. This one looks promising :0)

  • DJM400.

  • no this does so much more than a DJM and felt more solid when i tried them side by side the other day in a shop

  • Wow... nice mixer ehh!! greetings mate

  • That is kind of cool to be able to separate the sounds and then mix your own..My home recording studio does the same thing but can't do it live when DJing which sucks. lol ..I like the Stanton Mixer...Anybody know what the cost is?

  • 380 euros or something...

  • @MrDoctorDJ it's on hard to find records for £330 rrp is £350

  • JOOOOOOOOOOOOON
