Very impressive.. I never thought about doing a speed run.. The first level is how I always do it.. The bosses you can usually take out before they use any big weapons.. Like taking out the leg the the rest of it in a matter of seconds after.. Great job and interesting idea..

Great job. And I will back up that Venom 1 is indeed harder than Venom 2 on expert, especially if you're into being cheap while fighting Star Wolf, closing their cut scene, and taking out one of them before they've even entered. :)

If anyone is wondering how I did this, my record is 533, and the only place I use bombs is the minefield (and maybe the Peppy rescue part.) The minefield is worth about 60 points. 533 - 60 = 473, which is one above 472.

That might've been expert mode, but you took an easy path. You didn't even beat the real Andross. Still, with those skills, I'm sure you can take the hardest route in the game on expert and still beat it in a great time. You are very skilled at this. Yeah this level can be a pain in the ass on expert, you should have actually tried to kill more enemies. I played this level on expert, i made it through without shattering my wings at all, and had 248 kills!

You need to save all your wingmen and get over a certain number of kills on each level. For:

Zoness 250 Sector Z 100 Area 6 300 Venom 200

Once you have satisfied the requirement your kill counter turns from blue to orange.

There are two Venom levels. The first is reached by going to Bolse first (this one), the second is reached by going through Area 6 (the hard path) first and has you fighting Star Wolf again followed by Andross's true self.

Yeah, because this is the *fastest* completion of the game. The moment you start adding conditions like that things get complicated. And the fake Andross level is a lot harder than the real Andross level on Expert.

If you look closely you can see I'm using Falco's ship as a shield against that rapid-firing enemy. If I get hit chances are I'd crash into a beam and lose a wing :)
