  • Thats me in the pit wow lol

  • i think u guys plaqyed the 2nd movement is a little too fast

  • A really good song! the trumpet solo was pretty. Very disney! :) love this show.

  • you guys need to watch your intonation (flutes, mellos, tubas, trombones a bit) and blend (trombones, mellos and trumpets). We did this show last year (the same year as this one actually) and had a bit harder drill.

Trumpets need to watch thier control too. the solo sounds decent, but there a few fracks.

I also think the second movement was taken a bit too fast.

I mean no offense in any of this, just saying from one band member to another.

  • we did this last year too :]

  • Well I think it sounded great.

  • ya so wwere doing this show... we have 6 woodwinds and im the only saxophone... the directors changed song 2 so the one sax part is now a duet w/ the trumpet.... it sux.... u can never hear the saxophone! but u did awesome!

  • well maybe the sax should play louder :P

  • well maybe the sax is half dying XP and can barely breathe by the end of it! stupid asthma! AHHHHH

  • maybe its like 8 measures, half of which she's by herself, so she should deal :P

  • well maybe she CANT BREATHE!!!! NO RESTS FOR MORE THEN 2 BEATS IN 2 SONGS B4 IT! AND NO OTHER SAXOPHONES SO SHE CANT B QUIET! ughh... AND NO DEALING!

  • lol i like how i haven't even watched this video, i just keep bugging u through comments

  • yeah well how bout we stop then. lol

  • well hes my brother/friend/fattie so he lyks to bug me

  • lol fattieeee ur so mean! but were giving the person tons of views!

  • I really would love to do that show

  • it's in Davenport, IA which is part of the Quad Cities. right up next to the mississippi river.

  • Huh? i dont remember seeing this one at geneseo?!

  • there was another band that also did it.

I only remember like 3 other schools. So I won't take it personal. lol

  • we did the princess medly last year as a part of our disney show, it was my fave. song :)

  • We have this show this year and all of the drumline parts are a joke

in the first and third sets the tennors and snare play the same thing half of the time and the tennors are on one drum for that time

    but anyways yall did good

though the pitt and the drumline were a little off of each other in the drum break

  • trump solo ok

  • man this is our bands show this year and the tenor drum part is really easy along with the other drum parts

the "drum breaks" if you can call them thats are one measure long and they are a joke the tenor and snare play the same thing =[

  • yeah...i'm the tenor player from the school and the drum break for this show is a joke....wasn't much of a challenge...but there is a lot you can do with a silly drum break...add visuals for example ;)

  • How is it even a valid statement, that because they're playing Disney songs that you "can't take them seriously" Do you realize the difficulty of some songs from Disney? It's just an ignorant comment to make in my opinion. I'm doing this show this year and i can't wait. Great job guys :)

  • well have fun doing it. you should go all out because when we performed it another band was playing it too and ours was a lot better (no offence to the other group) everyone liked Alison's dress.

  • Not only do I agree with your statement, but I have to add: The judges have heard these songs SO many times before, so if you don't pull it off perfectly, you'll get knocked harder. Its much easier to notice mistakes with familiar music. This is also my schools field show this year lol

  • Not that you are all that bad or anything, but I find it very hard to take seriously a band that plays disney as their show. There were moments where I found myself enjoying it, then broke out of it when I remembered that I was listening to disney music.

  • Yeah, I didn't enjoy playing it that much. It wasn't horrible, it was just a bad choice of songs

  • The show was overall more enjoyable at State Contest too...not this competition

  • It brings me back to seeing the real Fantasmic at MGM

  • Not bad, but the trumpets need to come out more. I can CLEARLY hear the tuba, which I'm not saying is a bad thing, but I can't hear the melody.

  • I'm one of the trumpets

one of the 'helpers' said that the tubas out play everyone and that he could hear them more then the band before us and they had 6 compared to our 3

  • Plus this whole performance was so much better at State Contest like 3 weeks later

  • Not very good. I don't know where you guys are from, but the bands around where I live are much better. Also, watch 11/2/08 Westhill HS Marching Band & Color Guard at USSBA in PA, then you will see a very good band. (I am the duet player kneeling)

  • I loved it when i saw it the first time. I was at that compotition i was a band menber from Marengo High school we play Carmen. it was a awsome compotition and one of my favorites hope to see you guys next year.

  • oh yeah

another school did the same song but it wasnt as good of a drill as ours

i dont think i saw yours

  • whoa, nice trumpet sound.

  • i just wanna know, in the beginning, what was going on with the woman in the dress and the guy in the tux? were they like engaged or what? i mean i saw the man conducting and then the woman was conducting. all in all, you guys were very good.

  • It was a Disney show, and the girl was a Disney Princess, and the guy was Prince Charming

  • I'm a great Prince Charmin :D haha

  • because it was disney themed and the guy was prince charming and the girl was a princess

  • Oh, yeah, definitely did better as Muscatine.

I think we did pretty good, though we did a lot better later in the year. I liked this old swirl woodwind part a lot more then the watered-down one.

  • i think we looked and sound better at Muscatine than geneseo

  • oh i know we did

  • if only there weren't so many misquitos that night!!

  • i have scars from the ones that were on my feet

how they got there i haven't the foggiest

    i was wearing tennis shoes

    haha

  • Did you record at state contest too?

  • nope

    my father wasn't there
