does anyone know how to rebind the tx and rx of this plane? its a lanyu transmitter. i had to repalce ESC because it burnt out in flight.. got a new ESC, but now the receiver flashes.. and i dontknow how to bind it.
Unforunately, I have run into a problem. Whenever I give power and then turn the throttle off, the motor keeps spinning slowly and doesnt turn off (therefore the prop can't fold). When I land the prop is blocked by the groung and stops spinning. I put the trim to the minimum but that didn't help.
Does anyone know what and where the problem is? Is there any way a can fix this or do I need spare parts?
@janschnewlin95 Just setup your ESC - it needs to have brake set to ON! I do not have this plane so can not give you more details, but generally it is done by ESC programming card or moving transmitter throttle stick defined way. Anyway you need to know how to do it and it is ESC vendor specific. Try to search HobbyKing in ESC, UBEC, VR > Programming Cards
Well, i finally got tired of watching all the other guys having fun and went ahead and hunted around the Net to buy the Phoenix 2000 RTF (never showed up at HK). WOW! The plane immediately sold out right when I just clicked buy and I have it home now and the plane was missing a page of instructions and a couple of screws...no biggie though because I was in this stuff 20 years ago and I took to it like a duck to water anyway. The plane is an awesome flyer and I can literally fly hours in therms.
When is this glider going to be available on HK? Maybe you should limit the amount a power buyer can buy at once? I have been waiting for the Phoenix 2000 for that price but it gets swallowed up by somebody else-never available.,,woe is me.=-/
That is yet another sweet plane and price from HobbyKIng ;-) just goes to show you if they can knock these great planes out at these prices so should a lot of other Hobby stockist, thumbs up.
@startazz Very true indeed and I like those prices, but in many cases it comes recommended doing a couple of quality checks yourself before flying though. For example making sure wings are properly aligned in angles that make sense and take a look at how props and motors were pre-mounted and if the offsets make sense.
At unlucky times you'll come across their dodgy quality control in quite serious ways and in a way you should be careful that the low prize doesn't come around to haunt you.
@PHeMoX Point taken but to be honest mate don't you do them sort of checks to any new model you buy? because i know i do just for peace of mind ;-) i've brought a few planes and parts and so on from HobbyKing and all in all i've been more than happy with what i've got just as long as you remember how much you pay for said item you shouldn't be unhappy even if you do have to fix a slight problem,so if you buy cheap stuff and it's not 100% should/can you really moan abt it? try to think like that.
@startazz Yeah, I do and I do think exactly like that too. :) I basically love cheap stuff, even if it means doing a couple of fixes before flying. But I merely mentioned it, because often times people have way too much faith in factory quality control, even when it comes to higher budget brands and especially Ready to Fly models.
This a great update to the older TW-742 Skyhawk that I used to have! And I saw that they have it in the USA warehouse!! I will have to get one of these and put my touches on it!! Very cool!
check out my aerial videos using my phoenix 2000 epo glider and mini md80 camera.

What "C" rating do you recommend for the 1800 mah 3s Battery?

I intend to buy one in order to put a GoPro camera on it.
So, what do you suggest? To change the original motor for a stronger one? Which one would be?
Thanks in advance.

@whatnameainttakn Very nice to know. I was wondering about how it thermaled. Do you find the motor is powerful enough for ANY vertical?

Bad throw... Looks like you don't usually fly big planes using hand launch... and only used to throwing little jets...
