  • @crichey, if you watch the Torino Metro, then they have announcements in both Italian and English!

  • @crichey, I lived in France for most of my childhood and I have to say that the Italians, Germans, Dutch, etc. are much more likely to learn English than the French are; the French believe French should be the international language instead of English and are disappointed that it's not. The Toulouse Metro system has put in Occitan to help bring it back. Listen closely if you watch another video! 'Hope this helps a little.

  • I wish this system had announcements and signs in English too.

  • LITTLE METRO

  • Yes, you are correct on that, Neo...and in further thinking, there is no actual contact friction of two surfaces as would be in a wheel flange-to-rail situation, especially in curves.

  • All that complicated guide rail/wheel hardware. Why the hell didn't they just use conventional steel rail and wheels?

  • @ROCKSTARCRANE It has a few advantages. It's less noisy and it can climp steeper.

  • I LOVE the VAL trains, specially the engine sound!!! (I'm from Zaragoza, Spain, and here is a project for a metro line, I want that it will a VAL system!!)

  • You got to love France for their consistant high standards in almost everything they do. I think us Brits were like that once but its changed massively over the last century, now the standards are becoming very poor.

  • @atraherne haha...yes ...youguys started it ,others took it to a different level

  • :))

  • so thats why their so silent inside
