threw history there is a placement of elite units providing intell to air and superiors 1 of those was the landing of the RANGERS on the mountains in afghanastan,only to be felled into anti aircraft,and rpg,small arms from all 4 mountains and it just so happened an SAS unit was lup,on another mountain able to give 1st hand support to air and snipers,hence they where aired out. again

First off much respect to the Aussies that went downrange. Your training might be up to par however the areas you guys had were NOTHING like the areas we had. We could split hairs about training but what it really boils down to is sheer numbers. You guys sent a fraction of what the US and UK sent. Nothing but respect in the end, but the US Army has one thing that all countries try understand and sometimes emulate and that is the greatest NCO's on the planet. If you dont know look it up.

Its basic job, and whats it setup for, is the defence of the Australian mainland.
But we do regularly send troops around the world and led the UN mission in Timor.

First off much respect to the Aussies that went downrange. Your training might be up to par however the areas you guys had were NOTHING like the areas we had. We could split hairs about training but what it really boils down to is sheer numbers. You guys sent a fraction of what the US and UK sent. Nothing but respect in the end, but the US Army has one thing that all countries try understand and sometimes emulate and that is the greatest NCO's on the planet. If you dont know look it up.

Well it would have to be in the back first off and because you run your cock holster like some punk kid I am sure that you are not even in the military. And as far as you "letting me" train with you, I dont see that happening. It would be somebody lucky and skilled enough (not you) in your military that would get to fly to the US and go to one of our many WORLD RENOWNED schools, ie. Ranger, Sniper etc. Chumps like you make it easier for Americans to come over there and nail your women.

the thing is americans come to australia to train with us not us go to america to train with them meaning obviously where better. nail oh women aye well the women here outnumber the men 3 to 1 so we got all the goods the foreigners get the slops if you call that nailing our women well hope you enjoy your vinerial desease mate. and only the best american soldiers come to train in australia and so i doubt you'll ever get to come here

I am a military wife for 16yrs and my hubby is serving in Afghanistan at present time for 8.5mths. The kids and I still have 6months to wait. We were posted in Fort Hood Texas for 5yrs reason we were in Texas is for my husband to instruct and to train your US soldiers - now I have nothing against US soldiers RGH1502 I agree with AlienFirefox US Army wants Aussie army to train them.. see the issue is Americans has the QUANTITY when it comes to your militay whilst Australian has the QUALITY!

When my father was in the in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in Desert Storm I remember him telling me that the Austrailian military had some tough ass son-of-a-bitches! (in a nice way of course)! Thank you to the Australian Defence Forces for your help!

@msgracie14 So True and they send their Special Forces to South Africa to be trained by the RECCES. Just shows that quantity cannot sustain a fight over quality as you say. The Southern Hemisphere are made of winners. Be Proud guys/gals I only wish we (RSA) remembered our soldiers like you do, they are forgotten in the sands of Africa after fighting Angola, Cuba, Russia and East Germany in the Angolan War.

i applied for the army when i was 18 even passed the physical but then decided that i aint joining to fight americas war
so i ended up not joining

one thing you will never have is the toughness of an sasr commando the aussies are the toughest fuckers on the planet and ofcourse we cant send as many soldiers over where a country of 20 million people america has 350 million and it takes 10 american soldiers to do what 1 aussie soldier does anyways.
so go learn your history before you speak mate. and in the korean war the vietnam war and the iraq war we have the highest kill ratio of any other country
in vietnam we had a 500 to 1 kill ratio

If you could reference these statistics I would believe you. Other than that you are just bumping you gums. I will check back for proof. The fact of the matter is that there were so many dead VC that all of the numbers are estimates. Same with Iraq. I never said anything bad about your military, I have nothing but respect. When you say shit like you would shoot me etc it confirms lack of discipline. That and most of you guys cant set the bottle down for 6 months while you are down range.
