  • It took me a bit to catch on to the tune, but once I did it was quite interesting :)

  • I'm going go utilize this as one of my morning meditation pieces.

    Thank you!!

  • @ccsavage5 Nice.

  • I LOVE THIS......

  • i love it

  • Not too sure about this. It's pretty and kind of haunting but didn't get amazing grace out of it.

  • I was finally able to hear Amazing Grace about the 3rd time I listened to it with my eyes closed. It is very beautiful....try... sorry about the above comment being written by you. when I clicked on to reply your name was there and i figured it was because I was responding to your ccomment....sorry about that

  • @bkss109 Glad you liked it. Most people just don't have enough of an attention span to bother trying.

  • thumbs down!

  • sickening

  • @randyfromeufaula Ha ha hahahahaha!

  • It's a combination of the evening call for Muslim prayers and a touch of Scottish single pipes in the making. It is truly something we've never heard before. But far from the Amazing Grace we are accustomed to.

  • @buffet62 Yes, that's why I put the warning in the title.

  • I hear it! You have to listen past the throat singing. You can hear almost a whistle of air that is Amazing Grace. It's almost like the drone of the bagpipes, but then finished on top with the melody. Very interesting.

  • It kind of makes me think of a Yoga Guru and a Christian singing from the same body. OOOoooOOOH!!!!!

  • @maraffie1 Heh heh heh.

  • True masterpiece !! Beautiful !!

  • This is a beautiful interpretation of "Amazing Grace"...at first my response was like the majority here, but when I realized it was throat singing, the whistle was much easier to pick out. And that's part of the beauty and appropriateness of this rendition: the song, like this singing style, has many hidden layers and deep spirituality. So, I think this version really does honor God and his sacrifice on the cross. Thank you for posting.

  • @NorwegianSpring Thanks. I'm glad there's a few folks out there who don't respond with a knee jerk reaction.

  • @Amiduffer Maybe you should not only put a warning in the title but also an explanation in the description. But well, most of those responding with a knee jerk reaction wouldn't have read the description anyway^^

After I realised it's the overtones forming the melody I was truly amazed by this. That's what I call cross-cultural art, beautiful beyond doubt. I love it =)

  • yea but.....well.....it just a loop, soundz tibet n allmost.

  • @911wikileaks Correct, look up tuvan throat singing.

  • what the hell

  • @911wikileaks Let's not bring satan into this.

  • Ha. This seems to be throwing people off because the description is all serious and describes the Steve Camp version of AG but it's just someone throat singing one note with overtones.

If you try to hear Amazing Grace it will annoy you. If you listen to it knowing it's just one note it can be appreciated for what it is.

I think it's taken seriously as an actual cover of AG because it sounds like the beginning for a second. He sings the 'A" in "Amazing" but then never resolves to the next note

  • @jzzstud There's nothing wrong with throat singing. I don't know why people get their crucifixes all bent out of shape over a song. The minute I heard this back when I played it on my radio show I knew it was Amazing Grace done in an interesting way and was blown away that someone tried to do it differently. That's why I entitled it the way I did. Its a hell of a lot better than most of the mindless dreck they play on "Christian" radio.

  • SUX!!! This is'nt Amazing Grace..amazing shit!!!!

  • @TheShredfester As a christian, you SUX!!!

  • Ultimate Troll.

  • Why did you do this?

  • @StingRay0007 To torture you.

  • Comment removed

  • @penniesfromheavon When did you become the spokesman for the creator of the universe?

  • same note... all the way through..

  • thats about stupid

  • @wc31966 Speak in English please.

  • @wc31966 If you cant under stand that your a retard learn to sings instead of holloering out of key

  • this is just confusing. I have agood ear and I donthear anything, No whistle, no melody, just noise. Good attempt at being creative though.

  • @davidsfa03 As you can see from the other comments, other people have, and they've enjoyed the experience.

  • EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRR!!!

Sorry, but I don't hear "Amazing Grace" in this anywhere.

  • @mario64guy Others have heard it, so I can't help you with your hearing problem. The worlds aren't sung, as it normally is.

  • @mario64guy I would say listen more to the whistle in the background then the voice and you should hear it.

  • well... it sound great for ritual artistry stuff which is the opposite i suppose and kinda creepy you know... i don't know for some people....

Amazing grace was written to praise GOD and in fact, the person who wrote amazing grace was a slave trader who was converted and became well-known as evangelical lay minister...

  • listen for a whistling sound in the background

  • I GOT IT... your singing it.. BUT you stay the tune level is so minimal it sounds like your just using a single tone...

  • okey now ill be smart and do what those not-so-smart-asses over here did.. ill ASK before judging :O--- anyways.. okey... could you explain to me how this tune resembles to amazing graze.. as i am unfamilliar with those tunes i may not detect whatever it was supposed to sound like. in this case Amazing-Grace" cus all i hear is.. heyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzeeeeeeeeeeeeeeinneeeeeeeeeeeeeehmhh... heeeeeeyeee.. you get it...

  • amazing grace?! amazing shit !

  • @maria91173 You're using very un-christian language.

  • @maria91173 i am amazed that repeating the same note again and again is being passed off as "amazing grace". The video may have merit in other ways, but it is in no way similar to amazing grace...... well maybe the first note...

  • Hauntingly beautiful. As someone just said, there are those who get it and those who don't.

  • @MarkKirkpatrick1 My surprise was at the nasty foul-mouthed reactions.

  • PURE CRAP! Stupid video. Stop posting things on youtube please.

  • @aviatrixjk17 You're wrong. You're wrong. No.

  • @Amiduffer haha 1Pure crap..2 Your wrong. 1stupid video.. 2your'e wrong..

1Stop posting things on youtube please.. 2No.. xD

  • @Spartan117JMC Anyone who puts Halo on their page isn't worth listening to.

  • You're right - I've never heard Amazing Grace like this. In fact, I'm with what seems to be the majority here; if Amazing Grace is in there somewhere it's amazingly well hidden.

  • @ThisNameMeansNothing It's split evenly between those who get it, and the smart asses who've been deafened by the crap they listen to. I just wish I could have gotten a better recording, this one is a few generations, which reduced the quality some.

  • Om mani padme hum..

  • fargin awful mang...awful

    eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerr-reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeeeeerr-reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @wizdumb420 No thanks for your opinion.

  • Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Interresting mongolian interpretation of the stuff

  • Ok, upon re-examination I CAN hear amazing grace vaugely in the background. Sorry, but this rendition is not what could have been. Just my personal opinion, but it could have been SO much more effective, and haunting, if it started out with this deep voice thing, and then, have Amazing Grace start up and play along side it, at EQUAL volume. But again, just my opinion.

  • I don't hear the "Amazing Grace" tune in this. It's not really a rendition when It doesn't carry anything from the original song. Is it like, in the background, or something?

  • were you high when you made this? You should have been praying!

  • @soldiersgurl04 Why in hell would you make such a comment?

  • what the hell is this crap

  • @smrtassmthrfuker Something that you're too culturally insensitive to hear.

  • @Amiduffer just because i dont like this version of amazing grace does not make me "culturally insensitive" perhaps the way i wrote my last comment was a bit to vague what i meant was i can barely hear amazing grace whistling in the back ground and all my "culturally insensitive" ears can hear is EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • @smrtassmthrfuker You might have a slight hearing problem then. That wouldn't be uncommon. For me, the overtones from the throat singing certainly stand out, and many others who have listened to this agree.

  • IS THIS VIK REEVES SINGING

  • @DORISKISS I've never heard of Vik Reeves.

  • Huh? I like the pics though, they're awesome.

  • bello ma nn si riescono a sentire le note cosi bene!

  • is that harmonic overtones?

  • Not sure, look up Tuvan throat singing.

  • You're right! I've never it like this! Is this amazing grace?

  • Of course it is, just done differently.

  • Is pretty subtle but the melody it there. Interesting.

  • iit sounds a little bit like a buddhist monk-chanting...

  • Close. Look up Tuvan throat singing.

  • uh...???

  • dont know what you think that is but it sounds like some islamic guy thats constipated its not amazing grace

  • I give it a 4* rating.

In the background I hear the tune of amazing grace a little bit.

  • Very good. Take care.

  • just crapppppppppppppppppp

  • Your opinion is crapppppppppppppppppppppppp

  • sorry you cant handle the truth it sounds like someone getting sick and barfing all over themselfs

  • Hey Yoko, I didn't get it !!!

  • No Asian ladies in this video. Move along now.

  • wow this is actually really interesting

  • Glad you enjoy it.

  • Beautiful! If you like this check out Jeff Oster and Ann Licaters version of the Timeless classic Amazing Grace

  • This is a deep spiritual chant" like a direct path to God! you must have strong conviction and Love in order to grasp

the energy. Thankyou for posting this powerful Chant to Gods Great Power.

  • Interesting observation. Folks seem to either react to this with hate or enrapture. 8)

  • god doesnt exist

  • Can you prove he doesnt?

  • I suppose not but then again you cant prove he does

  • dumbass answer. there isn't proof that he isn't out there. but there's proof that if he is he was a lazy ass. the whole creation of the universe has been scientifically proven to NOT be him. all we can't prove is that he may have knocked up a married woman who gave birth to a magician. but good for him, at least his son was popular, like at least he wasn't an outcast or something, that would kinda look bad on him too. being god and all with a lame son.

  • UM...that was just excused crap..not amazing grace...cmon.

  • Listen a little more carefully.

  • Beautiful photo's the noise is annoying

  • Thanks for the complement.

  • How does this in any way bring glory to the Good Lord? The object of any praise hymnal is to do just that. Sing praises unto the Lord for he is good. This surely does not sound like a praise to Jesus. There is but one true religion and that is to be born again through Jesus Christ our Savior. The saved souls are Christ' true church. No disrespect intended to you, friend.

  • It does it just fine.

  • No, it does not.

  • You're not an authority.

  • Since I went back and read your comments it is obvious you are not an authority. The authority is the Bible. It has instructions for our every move and it has the plan of salvation. It has nothing to do with Catholicism, for that is a false doctrine. Praise the Lord for he is worthy of our praise. John 3:16....John 14:6 Good day.

  • Oh, calling the apostles a fraud, eh? Boy, you suck as a christian if you consider the church that started your religion as a fake.

  • You are so sad. Obviously from your comments you lack insight on the gift of salvation and you are just looking to start an argument about something you know absolutely nothing about. Sad sad sad. Have a good life. I am sure you will make another silly comment but I won't answer. Instead I will pray for you to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Remember, trying to insult me is of no consequence. I know my Bible and I know Jesus. Thanks to him for his Grace shown to me.Good day.

  • Take your condescending attitude and shove it, Mr. Holier-than-thou. Pride goeth before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

  • sorry man but that's not christian music...i don't wanna hurt you but you're making a mistake... singing aaeeeeeeaaaaaooooooo is not the correct way to praise god

  • There's quite a number of different ways to praise god. Do you know how many religions there are at any time on the planet?

  • i respect what you say... but you are wrong... you know, religion = compromising... as you shall know compromising is sin... THERE IS NO RELIGION IN SUCH A TRUE GOD...

  • Nearly all the so called Christian music being played today isn't christian nor is it music. You make no sense otherwise.

  • wtf is this shit? its not amazing grace! >:(

  • You're using very un-christian language.

  • Sorry - but I don't consider this noise music at all. Won't be watching this Video again.

  • Thanks.

  • Completely captured my attention

    Powerful

  • Guess these ****** haven't heard of Tibetan throat singing.

  • I had never heard of it until it was brought up to me by another member. It certainly was a learning experience.

  • this is awful i am sorry is this yokos long lost brother....lol

  • he he 8)

  • wow really never hear before HAHAHA

  • Thanks for the subscribe.

  • hHAha I keep hEARinG iSh iSh ish ish!! Lol..

  • sounds like shit

  • I've never heard excrement make any sounds in any way resembling what I'm playing.

  • Extra-ordinary sound/rendition!

  • Yep! 8)

  • I like it a lot and i think that there should be more than the same. The samething over and over can get rather irratating and annoying but i love amazing grace in ANY for or Fashion.

  • I used to take Tuvan throat-singing classes and "Amazing Grace" was one of the more popular tunes people worked on...I think the only more popular tune, in fact, was a Tuvan melody, "Artii Sayir." Anyway, while I *have* heard it this way before...it was wonderful to hear it again! Thanks so much for posting and sharing it. Beautiful sounds and wonderful memories.

  • Thanks. Nice to see that others are doing it too. I've gotten the silliest comments on this issue from those who think that its illegal to do it any way other than the normal. 8)

  • Silly indeed to think we have to do any song in any particular way. The whole point of art is to show something in a new light! If we wanted the "same ol', same ol'" we could've had someone make a field recording of the song at the dawn of recording technology and listened to that for all eternity, after all!

  • Tuvan throat-singing is awesome. Have you checked out Bela Fleck and the Fleck Tones? There's one concert where they feature a Tuvan singer and it's pretty wild!

  • Not familiar...I should look that up. Thanks!

  • IS that 'throat singing"? VERY NICE.. but why call it "AMAZING GRACE? It got me stoned listening to the overtones in your voice..

  • Not my voice.

  • why are we debating religiously

you are taking the beauty out of this video...just accept the fact that some may think different accept god no one can enjoy things anymore it seems...to much corruption

  • Oh, it started with the assertion that we're a bunch of wretched worms, which is a ridiculous way to think.

  • Brilliant Breath control! Holding a note for the duration demonstrated in the audio portion of the video is remarkable indeed! bravo! I'm curious about the instrument that carried the tune so softly : )

  • I think the only "instrument" used is the human singing voice, with some electronic reverb to give it that slight echo.

  • Well........ ok, I'll admit I never heard anything quite like this (ahem) version.

I'll be more polite than I can ever recall being in my life by leaving it at that. :P

  • Good, lets have more politeness. That's the Christian thing to do.

  • when I read the airste172 comment I found myself smiling and tiny little chuckles bubbled up spilling out : )

    well done in fact brilliant!

  • Wow to think all of this from just one little comment I made. God Bless.

  • They dont borrow them they are one in the same. Inspired words from God. They compliment each other the OT and NT. How can such an inspirational song dumb anyone down? The only thing I see that can dumb someone down is watching Sponge Bob Square Pants. Your very last comment. Thats just twisted. Dont you have a relationship with your mom,dad and brothers or sisters if you had/have them? I think you do and Im not suggesting incest. I will pray for you. Someday you will stand before Him.

  • Powerlifting workouts are what I do too. but not much of a power lifter. yes, I know, this is way off-topic.

I just dunno if I like this version or not. But Steve Camp is one great musician, and loves the Lord... so I just stay silent :)

  • Yes why post this song if you are not a believer or wanting a relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ? Beautiful song yes. The song is about being lost , finding salvation and being with the King for all eternity. What would be attractive about this song if not at least searching. Why am I even commenting back? God Bless and Peace out...

  • The song was written by a British subject, in a book of hymns that was designed to dumb people down in reaction to Bach's revolution in polyphony. Please, enough with the relationship crap. Thats a perverted Baby Boomer view of religion. Its like you want to have sex with Jesus.

  • Do you know Jesus Christ personally?

You can, and my relationship with him is more awesome than anything else I have ever known. Despite the depths of my depravity, and even though he knows my most sinister thoughts; he still loves me and calls me his child.

Verified in John ch 1 verses 12 and 14

    ...such amazing Grace!!!

  • addressed to amiduffer

  • @sparwood8 Oh I met him once. We had a cool martial arts battle.

  • @tremmortrevor No devil. You tried him but YOU lost.

  • @sparwood8 No, I pretty much beat his ass up. Then we shook hands and relished in the fact that we are both Jewish. Because Jesus was a jew.

  • No if you recall three strangers came to talk to Abraham. It never states for sure who all three were but I think its an easy guess. One that is not so well known is in Daniel 3:25 .....and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. I could go on but my mission is not to argue its to help lost souls get into a right relationship with Jesus Christ. The books were not written by them. OT books just shown you have mention of the coming Messiah. Proof Jesus is no fake. God Bless.

  • Wrong again. I've seen those. The "Apostles" borrow some lines from the OT, but when you read the quotes in the OT in the context that they were written, the saviors that the Hebrews talk about are something different.

  • Read Isaiah Ch 53... it is about Jesus, 700 yrs before he was here

  • I asked you no question of the difference between the OT and NT. Where in my comment did I ask you that question. I asked if you have heard of two sources that support the books. Second of all youre going way off track from what I asked. And you never answered my question. Are you flustered already?

  • First, you want me to accept the existance of a savior, that we only know of through the NT, which is in a book created by an institution you call a fake, which makes you hypocrite, since you just called your savior the product of a fake!!. Then you make snarky comments just because I question things.

  • Disputing the Bible does not necessarily dispute the possibility of a creator. The Bible is fictitious based on old wives tales. As there was no form of entertainment or communication as today, those who came up with the most outrageous fabricated stories were the ones with the bigger audiences. This is how so called "miracles" came about..from the creative imagination of good story tellers & then passed down to generations. Mathew, Mark, Luke & John all had different versions. Pure fiction.

  • Of the reality of a creator, there is no doubt. Which version of "how the world was made", is another thing. 8)

  • How the world was made, is of no doubt at all... to us who believe

Either the bible is a lie or modern teachers are a lie.

My money is on God's word

  • or what if there both wrong...what if there is possibly a certain concept like god that exists .....hard to tell at least for me...all i count on is beauty that exists if i have that....i'm fine and this....this is beauty

  • Oh you mustve missed something called the Red Sea Srolls and The Torah. Please Im not here to argue but why post a song if you are not a believer? I dont get that. Why whats wrong with their birth stories enlighten me. God Bless.

  • You're asking me the difference between the Old and New testament??? You have no conception of the new dispensation??? You're a pretty poor christian if you can't even get simple things like that!

  • Beautiful music is beautiful music. Why does one have to be a "believer" to play great music? Your post is nonsensical without thought.

  • Never stated you had to be a believer. If you have read all the posts you would see I just left my opinion and then was attacked. So I answered back that is all. God Bless.

  • "but why post a song if you are not a believer?"

Those were your words my friend.

    God Bless likewise.

  • I'm agnostic & i find the song lovely. I made a cover of it for my dad since it's his favorite song.Given my agnostic nature though,I chose to do it instrumental

  • Yes you would still be wretched by accepting the fake Catholic Churches religion. Religion is what it is. Its not about religion its about a relationship and if you are not in one with Him you better cause Hes coming sooner or later. We are nothing if we dont have the Holy Spirit so yes we are wretched before Christ is in our lives. You know the difference between myself and an unsaved person? Ive accepted Jesus and hes forgiven me of my sins. Im not a sinner since Ive been forgiven by Jesus

  • No. The bible is an invention of the Catholic Church in 348, they have the copyright, so to speak. You're using their text. Of course, it all hinges on some carpenter having a dream, which is not the most realiable source. Why, the "apostles" can't even get their story straight about our "savior's" birth!?

  • We are wretched if we are not living for Him. Before we have the Holy Spirit in us we are wretched giving into a life of slavery to Satan. Instead of giving honor and praise to the One who deserves it. My reply to Amiduffer. God Bless all.
