It's a combination of the evening call for Muslim prayers and a touch of Scottish single pipes in the making. It is truly something we've never heard before. But far from the Amazing Grace we are accustomed to.
I hear it! You have to listen past the throat singing. You can hear almost a whistle of air that is Amazing Grace. It's almost like the drone of the bagpipes, but then finished on top with the melody. Very interesting.
This is a beautiful interpretation of "Amazing Grace"...at first my response was like the majority here, but when I realized it was throat singing, the whistle was much easier to pick out. And that's part of the beauty and appropriateness of this rendition: the song, like this singing style, has many hidden layers and deep spirituality. So, I think this version really does honor God and his sacrifice on the cross. Thank you for posting.

Ok, upon re-examination I CAN hear amazing grace vaugely in the background. Sorry, but this rendition is not what could have been. I like it a lot and i think that there should be more than the same. The samething over and over can get rather irratating and annoying but i love amazing grace in ANY for or Fashion.
I used to take Tuvan throat-singing classes and "Amazing Grace" was one of the more popular tunes people worked on...I think the only more popular tune, in fact, was a Tuvan melody, "Artii Sayir." I like it a lot and i think that there should be more than the same. The samething over and over can get rather irratating and annoying but i love amazing grace in ANY for or Fashion.

I used to take Tuvan throat-singing classes and "Amazing Grace" was one of the more popular tunes people worked on...I think the only more popular tune, in fact, was a Tuvan melody, "Artii Sayir." Anyway, while I *have* heard it this way before...it was wonderful to hear it again! Thanks so much for posting and sharing it. Beautiful sounds and wonderful memories.

Silly indeed to think we have to do any song in any particular way. The whole point of art is to show something in a new light! If we wanted the "same ol', same ol'" we could've had someone make a field recording of the song at the dawn of recording technology and listened to that for all eternity, after all!

Tuvan throat-singing is awesome. Have you checked out Bela Fleck and the Fleck Tones? There's one concert where they feature a Tuvan singer and it's pretty wild!

The only thing I see that can dumb someone down is watching Sponge Bob Square Pants. Your very last comment. Thats just twisted. No if you recall three strangers came to talk to Abraham. It never states for sure who all three were but I think its an easy guess. One that is not so well known is in Daniel 3:25 .....and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. I could go on but my mission is not to argue its to help lost souls get into a right relationship with Jesus Christ. The books were not written by them. Wrong again. I've seen those. The "Apostles" borrow some lines from the OT, but when you read the quotes in the OT in the context that they were written, the saviors that the Hebrews talk about are something different.

Disputing the Bible does not necessarily dispute the possibility of a creator. The Bible is fictitious based on old wives tales. As there was no form of entertainment or communication as today, those who came up with the most outrageous fabricated stories were the ones with the bigger audiences. This is how so called "miracles" came about..from the creative imagination of good story tellers & then passed down to generations. Mathew, Mark, Luke & John all had different versions. Pure fiction.

Yes you would still be wretched by accepting the fake Catholic Churches religion. Religion is what it is. Its not about religion its about a relationship and if you are not in one with Him you better cause Hes coming sooner or later. We are nothing if we dont have the Holy Spirit so yes we are wretched before Christ is in our lives. You know the difference between myself and an unsaved person? No. The bible is an invention of the Catholic Church in 348, they have the copyright, so to speak. You're using their text. Of course, it all hinges on some carpenter having a dream, which is not the most realiable source. Why, the "apostles" can't even get their story straight about our "savior's" birth!?
