Actually, there was a scene that showed ino interested in neji. When they are in the forbidden forest for the chuunin exams, Ino takes off her hair tie to try to seduce Neji. He doesn't show any interest though xD.
@theflamingwizard : Actually it isn't. It's the omote manji - a Buddhist symbol for compaasion and kindness. Unfortunately many people who aren't familiar with Buddhism and other Eastern religions get it confused with Hitler's logo. So on public media like TV they show an X on Neji's forehead instead. It's really sad though. Imagine not being able to show the symbol of your religion because everybody thinks it means hate and evil.
