My theater was mostly adults in there and it went pretty bonkers when it ended. I know I cheered. Movie is well done with a deep message that should hit home to anyone that sees it.

i only saw Avatar for the first time yesterday....and now I HATE myself for not seeing it in the cinema!! It's the most beautiful film i have ever seen!

that is absolutely incredible. my theater cheered, but not like this. it just goes to show how many people a movie can truly and deeply touch. i know it touched me. absolutely incredible movie, despite anything critics or haters say about it.

I never heard any applause when I went to see this film. It was a 5:15 showing opening day at a relatively small theater in a relatively small city.

Titanic had a 2nd edition released with more music. Why not Avatar?

I saw it in IMAX at a midnight opening. When the movie ended, it was like all the air had been sucked out of the room. Complete silence. Then, it exploded. There were over 550 people in that auditorium and every single one of them was on their feet. Not just clapping, but cheering and screaming. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. That night was by far the most amazing cinematic experience I've ever had.
