  • Aer Lingus is one of the oldest and most experinced airlines in the world with one of the youngest fleets of aircraft ! Those who dont know their facts should fly with the likes of ryanair which they are obviously suited to !

  • Aer Lingus are rust buckets!

  • cool

  • Yep great video..perfect music as well..it almost describes Aer Lingus

  • nobody can beat aerlingus. IT RULES

  • to be honest im not being funny or owt but i do prefer ryanair, especially with a visa electron :)

  • Good video with nice music. I wish people would stop dishing Ryanair in their comment though. The video has nothing to do with Ryanair. Take it for what it is and take Ryanair for what it is too. I'm more than happy to put up with a slightly more uncomfortable seat and less care for a half hour flight to the UK and all for €16. Com'on! Sorry, getting side tracked. Again, nice video

  • @1.11 Man to hostess: "Thankyou. Now how about that blowjob?" :oD :oD

  • Isn't Belfast in Northern Ireland? Not really spreading their wings there.

  • song??

  • the river sings

  • fajny film

  • go on aer lingus !!!! and ryanair!!!!!! go on irish!!!!! and good video!

  • hi great vid was wondering if you could tell me the name of the song?

  • Thanks.

    Enya - The River Sings

  • I might be a pilot some day after all of the travelling I did from NY 7 occasions since 2006. I still have to retun to NY next Summer.

  • Aer Lingus FOREVER!!! fuck ryanair and fuck michael o leary.

  • great video and song man. couldnt agree more. they are the best irish airline.. better than ryanair.

  • I can't stand ryanair.WWAAAAAAYYYYY to cheap!!!!!aer lingus is a proud irish airline

  • @flysully how can an airline be 2 cheap

  • @Aviationnation10 simple ryanair defines cheap

  • @flysully and quality

  • @Aviationnation10 quality!! when they charge you cheap tickets they try to make it up by charging you loads on bagage, catering etc

  • @flysully if you go on their website they outline ALL charges i no everybody takes the pisss but they are he cheapest, biggest an dmost succesful in the world

  • 6 hours time I'll be on an Aer Lingus A330-300, EI-DUZ I think?? DUB - AGP EI584

  • Were Is The NewBase Then???

  • Belfast International was the final choice with 10 new routes and earlier this year Aer Lingus opened a new base at London Gatwick with 7 new routes followed by more expansion with a further 6 routes added for the winter schedule.

  • Ryanair sucks!!!!! Might be an irish success story but its by far the worst airline to fly with!!!!

  • i very strongly agree with that statement..i hate them!!

  • love that music

  • do you know the name of the artist that sing it?? id love to know!

  • Welcome to Gatwick! I am doing grand handling for Aer Lingus! All the best in UK.

  • love it

  • istnt sail away in aerlinguses safety vid

  • yeah, on the long haul A330 flights

  • AT 1:15 IS THAT IN THE PLANE????

  • No, that's one of the Aer Lingus lounges at the airport.

  • good vid

  • song pls?

  • Enya - The River Sings

  • Fantastic thanks for posting!!!

  • i think they need a rapid exspansion and an older airline should have priority also it should be bigger than ryan air bcause its older and they shud have more aircraft and make a subsidery company like airscot to increse more profit and get ryan air to invest in that 1

  • I`m german, but Aer Lingus is one of the best Airlines so far...

  • Next time your flying aer lingus look out for Sinead Mulvey !! Shes cabin crew with them and will be reresnting Ireland in the eurovision song contest!!!

    Good luck Sinead!!!

  • AERLINGUS IS THE GREATEST AIRLINE

  • Great video 5*

  • Wow! nearly 25,000 views that's impressive! Well done on this video. On the belfast loads . . . my brother flies in and out quite often on the LHR route and he says it's always packed to capacity. I've flown Paris, Amsterdam & Rome from BFS and the flights have always been very busy. Hope it's a good year for them in '09.

  • That explains why AMS was cancelled.

    SNN abu!!!

  • I think the only two things that are keeping Aer Lingus alive at the moment are the Belfast base and the Gatwick base. Shannon has always made a loss, Dublin is losing out to Ryanair because of the recession and Cork just about scrapes the barrel, whilst long haul is a disaster at the moment

  • cool! fly Aer Lingus quite often, great airline!

  • I heard Aer Lingus are doing really good business at Belfast international, is this true?

  • Aer Lingus are doing much better at Belfast. It started off badly with poor loads but there were some changes and the new routes added have been doing well. I still think there are a few weak routes but overall it's been good. They are well on the way to making their 250,000th booking which is in line with expectations.

  • good to hear!

  • I fly Warsaw to New York in January, what plane will i get? A330-200 or A330-300?

Also i love Aer Lingus colours

  • You will probably be on an A330-300 for your New York flight.

    Enjoy your flight!

  • okkkk :S

  • ...OH! OK! thanks !!!!

    :)

  • very good video and airline excelent

  • Well done ,,,,,,,,

  • At ABN2808: It's not an evacuation, looks like one but they just have the stairs up to the doors and all of the doors open to let some fresh air inbetween flights. It's on airteamimages . com if you want to have a look.

  • The A330's look huge compared to the A320's.

  • Aer Lingus V.S Ryanair

    two minutes later...

Ryanair is bankrupt and cant keep up with Are Lingus.

  • yeah whats with that??? is ryanair buying out aer lingus or what?? have you ever flown with ryanair?? you just wallop the runway! smack!

  • Easy to prefer Ryanair, cheaper, more frequent and more airports. Aer Lingus still stuck with a notion of being the national airline! And I don't work for any airline - I'm one of those who pays for it!

  • yeah and a rush to get a seat that isnt situated beside the wing, yeah, they seem real organised! aer lingus is just the way to go...

  • Air Lingus = the Best !!!!

Ive flown with these twice, BHX - DUB then DUB - BHX, Best airline ive ever flown with, Brilliant customer care, There A320's Where extremly clean, They were on time. And you felt welcome with them.

Aer lingus over ryanair any day of the year.

  • aye, ryanair = shit

May Aer Lingus live on!!!! gotta admit tho, i think they should get some boeing aircraft back. =D

  • Airbus aircraft are more suited to Aer Lingus, I wouldn't hold my breath for boeing back anytime soon

  • *rates 5 stars* This is one of my favorite airlines in this whole world :P.

  • what is the song??????????? I'm assuming it's an Enya song, just not sure which one!!

  • check da comments they might have it

  • they used to not any more they are airbus now

  • nope either an A320 or 21 or 19

  • I'm goin on Aer Lingus to Reina Sofia in Tenerife from Dublin in july. Any idea on what aircraft i'll be goin on?

  • you will either go on a airbus A320 or airbus A330

  • I've done that flight. you will be in an A330

  • What dates are your flights, I can check. I guess there will be lots of demand in July so it could well be the wide body A330.

  • 1 july nd 15 july

  • The aircraft is going to be an Airbus A320 on both your flights. These aircaft have 174 leather seats with recline and adjustable head rests.

  • O damn it. No Tv and it's a 4 hour flight!

  • i hate them no tv flight's but just think of it....your going for a relaxing holiday!!!

  • probly and boeing 737-800

  • do aer lingus have 737-800? i don't think dey do.

  • well i think that was air lingus i went on???? but it was definitly a boeing

  • What year was it? Aer Lingus got rid of all their 737-400s and -500s in 2005 and have never operated the 737-800. Only Ryanair operates 737-800s in Ireland. Aer Lingus have a 32 strong fleet of A320s and A321s plus 9 A330s with 6 more on order and another 6 A350XWBs on order.

  • ohhhh sory i was suposed to press "reply"!but it was 2005.I taught about it last night and because Cork aiport has a small runway they need small commericial planes. There are 2 runways but 1 is smaller than the other runway 2 can just fit in a 737 maybe?

  • yes this video is good

  • Eh, it's only gonna be up the road in Belfast

  • So it is. Belfast would have offered a better deal and the brand is better known in Northern Ireland than it is in Birmingham but this is just the start of new bases, Birmingham is probably still of interest to Aer Lingus.

  • interesting idea about our national airline should have an additional UK hub - this would allow for expansion of its European operations but could allow other routes to be introduced such as to the Middle East and the Far East - I am Irish from Dublin and moved to Manchester in 2003, and although Manchester is a main hub for several airlines, Birmingham could work as a UK hub because it has less aircraft movements than Manchester or any of the London Airports

  • What is that song called??

  • Enya - The River Sings

  • thanks!

  • wow! That picture of the new seats makes aer lingus look really modern! Very cool!

  • No not yet, Hopefully this time! I'm only used to the huge green leather seats!

  • my aunty is an airhostess for aer lingus! shes 26! not an old hag she's really nice! we always get up-graded to first class! rock on liz in green!

  • Hopefully next time you get upgraded into Premier Class you will get the new lie flat seats unless you have already had the chance fly them. From what I have seen and heard they are very comfortable!

  • The one thing I have noticed about Aer Lingus is that there's no consistency when it comes to cabin crews. Some are reported as excellent, others just terrible. This is a problem they really need to address but are evidently reluctant to do so because it might cause problems with their militant unions. Airlines are no different than any other company, if they want to retain clients, then they have to beat the competition, and if not in cost, then it damned well be better in service.

  • Thats the same with SAA (South African Airways) sometimes the crew are great but other times they are awful

  • Don't gat me wrong! some are very helpful and nice but others are olg HAGS!

  • yeah! the air-hostesses and aircrafts are getting on! I'm tired of the old hags too! Last year one air-hostess was really ignorant/really old! She did'nt ask if you would like tea or coffee! she just threw a cup at you and said "tea coffee" by the time i said coffee she was 4 rows behind me!! Old hag! hope she's not on my next flight to malaga on the 24th!! Please god no!

  • How about getting something new for the Dublin Chicago route. Those A330's have seen better days. Oh and PTV's please.

  • And while I'm on a rant, when they sell those old A330's off, send those snippy old geriatric crews with them and get some younger lady flight attendants. I'm sick of looking at those old hags. Oh and have the flight leave on time and provide decent food too. Rant over, I feel a bit better now.

  • Those old A330s will leave from 2009 when the new ones start to arrive. Regarding the older crews, Aer Lingus has just finished it's plan to hire more cabin crew to work on the new two new A330s and smaller A320s. Aer Lingus hire more when the start of their biggest expansion starts in the next few years.

  • Sadly the Airbus A330-300 aircraft used on that route are very early models and cannot have PTV's however a recent large order from Aer Lingus included 6 new A330-300E aircraft whcih will replace the older aircraft from 2009 onwards.

  • So all the new planes will have the PTV's installed? I hope they keep the seats with the writing on them, I thought they were cool.

  • about time we had nonstop flights with Aer Lingus from Dublin to Karachi & Islamabad, Pakistan & vice versa with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), as Ireland & Pakistan have a lot in common - I am Irish (Dublin & Meath) but have a lot of Pakistani friends here in Manchester, UK!!

  • How could anyone prefer Ryanair!!??

  • Someone who works for them!

  • I prefer Ryanair!

  • o.k thanks!

  • If your lfying in july u may well get the new A330-300 you have a 1 in 5 chance! I'm no so sure that using a video causes interference, many people use them anyway lots of videos here that show takeoffs from inside planes.

  • on the 24th of july! Like the song on this video! Is it true that using a videocamera on a plane can cause interference wit the radar??

  • Hopefully we'll get a new a330 because for the last couple of years we've been getting a really old one!!

  • The A330s are getting on a bit. Three will be replaced by the new batch from 2009-2011. When are you flying?

  • I thought they were only getting two new aircraft for the US route. I really hope they replace those older A330's and put PTV's in them.

  • Those aircraft have arrived and have a very nice cabin, with new PTVs that were designed for the Airbus A380 "super-jumbo" and very nice seats. The new UK base will be for short-haul first. 12 new long-haul aircraft have been ordered from airbus, 6 A330Es and 6 A350XWBs which will start arriving from 2009.

  • Any interior pictures available on the net?

  • yes i have a link to a picture of EI-DUO's economy class. It's no longer very "Irish" but with 12% more space and the most modern IFE system at the moment I dont think people will mind.

    ht tp://i104.photobucket. com/albums/m198/SkyNet1000/1181301835siB46r.jpg (remove spaces)

  • Thanks, The interior looks pretty good. Is that the new A330-200 that just went into service? and is the A330-300 going to have the same interior do you know?

  • Glad you liked the photo! Both aircraft (EI-DUO and EI-DUZ) are in service and both have the same seats. From now on all new A330s Aer Lingus get will have this interior including the 6 new A330s they ordered recently.

  • Great video!! Love flying wit aer lingus! This year i'm goin on an a330 to malaga, can't wait! Have you flown wit aer lingus before??? Love th irish breakfast, yum yum....!!

  • I fly Aer Lingus about once a month! Been on the A330s quite a bit the new one is looking very good with new seats and lie flat premier seats. You might get lucky on the way Malaga and get a new A330. The Irish breakfast is a favorite of mine and the panini!

  • Aer Lingus is the best airline in the world.

P.S can someone tell me what the music is in the background. Thanks

  • Thanks! the song is Enya - The River Sings.

  • AerLingus is never going to be BA, or Singapore Airlines. However, they are a great airline. The fact they share a base with Ryanair, in what is a relatively small country, is testament to their brilliance! AerLingus crew are fantastic, and they're low fares and good onboard service are great! I look forward to their improvements in their long-haul network, which will position them as an even better airline!

  • Aer Lingus WAS one of the best airlines

  • That's true, the title of being one of the best airlines in the world has left Irish shores. It's a shame but true, all Aer Lingus can do is grow and offer more routes and thats what they are doing.

  • Aer Lingus, 1 of the best airlines - well thats what i think!
